In a press release, the Perry campaign sites examples of cases it which it claims similar out-of-state petition requirement have been struck down. It is high time to have one “Republican Primary Day.” Every registered Republican should have an equal say in selecting their candidates and silence the pundits. What are the steps to change the status quo?
The Perry campaign submitted 11,911 signatures.
But Perrys law suit is fighting for the rights of the people of Virginia to be able to participate in a meaningful election process.
I, for one, am so proud of Rick Perry for challenging my state, Virginia, for the right to be on our ballot.
I felt like my vote was beig disenfranchised and that Mitt Romney was being crammed down my throat.
All Vrginians’ delegate votes are being handed to Romney on a silver platter and I am s furious.
Newt Gingrich should do he same for his supporters.
The GOP ruling class better wake up!

I do believe that Democrat helping Newt is not candidate specific according to a video I saw on Fox talking to Eric Bolling on Cavuto yesterday and He will ensure things get changed and give the voters a chance to choose. The RNC is not going to want such bad PR.
Rick, the Virginia Republican Party cannot violate your 1st or 14th Amendment rights and therefore, you cannot sue them for violating your constitutional rights.
Way to go, Ailes & Murdoch! Now conservatives need a new go-to network, imho.
Democrats Helping Gingrich Get on Virginia Ballot? (Perry too)

Perry reminds me of a rodeo cowboy. Hefalls down then gets back up.
Perry may have "stepped in it" with his words a time or two, but he does not back down on his policies. He can always get a used telepromter or two from the White House after he is elected.
He’s “Going Gore”, that Rick Perry.
Who’s you candidate again? Obama?
“Whos you candidate again? “
It was Sarah Palin and when she decided not to run, it was Herman Cain, but now while his campaign is suspended, my candidate would have to be Gingrich or Santorum.
However, that really has nothing to do with the fact that you cannot sue a private organization such as the Republican Party of Virginia for violating your constitutional rights.

I have lost total interest and respect for Fox News. They have gone the way of the status quo. Fair and balanced - my foot!
There does seem to be a few Mittens here slamming Rick. What next the tired old TTC, Gardisil and instate tuition talking points coming out next?
This is a PRIEBUS problem ~ as predicted last year on this board ~ there's a definite lack of leadership on his part, nor does he seem to have any interest beyond Mitt.
Still, you'd think he'd care about Mitt picking up Rhode island's few convention votes ~ or did he already have them in the can?
Even the most knee-jerk Establishment guy in the party has got to now be pining for the good old days when Mike Steele presided over our GREATEST ELECTORAL VICTORY IN HISTORY!
This guy Priebus is giving it away to the Democrats with cheating at the primary stage. It drives away the Republican base.
We need a resignation at the top of the RNC before the end of the year!
Re-posting this exchange in case any of you missed it and are interested:
I wrote: “I saw John Fund on Fox & Friends this morning talking about this situation. He said this is going to go to court and the court will come down on the side of the voters (as it always has) therefore, Perry and Newt will wind up on the ballot.”
TBBT responded: “Better hope this game is played out behind the scenes. Having this drama play out in the media will definitely suck all the oxygen out of the room. Talk about taking a candidate off message.
Numerically, the lost of the VA delegates doesn’t matter much. The perception game is a whole different animal.”

I responded: “Absolutely! But we’re talking about The Stupid Party, here. Will the the party decide to find a way to get them on the ballot or will they subject themselves to a court challenge where they know they’re going to lose?”
