“Umm, don’t we usually dismiss the pronunciamentos from Hollywood airheads out of hand?”

Do we usually use words like ‘pronunciamentos’ when good old American will suffice quite nicely? Unless of course, MA has become a Spanish colony when I wasn’t looking.

Pronunciamentos is used for ironic effect, implicitly comparing the speaker to a self-important member of a Latin American junta. Or aren't we allowed to use junta, either?
