More fun is what will the closings be blamed on by the dems? Like always, they'll blame it on non-union Walmart and tax-free internet sales.

Then there is Land’s End. Land’s End is part of their conglomeration. It would be interesting to see the growth figures for Land’s End.
Much of our holiday gift shopping was done at Land’s End. It is easier and better to buy online than go to K mart or Sears.

Most stuff I buy online, I would buy even if there was a sales tax on it.
The discounts are that good, and besides, the cost of shipping usually offsets any tax-free benefits.
It would be ironic if Sears blamed the internet, since many mom-and-pop businesses were harmed when the Sears, Roebuck and Co. catalog became easily available even to people in rural areas a century ago. Sears had a relatively high-tech system back then to deliver goods and receive orders. It'd be like Wal-Mart complaining about internet sales when Wal-Mart used technology to put a lot of mom-and-pop shops out of business over the past 40 years.
