Ah, RINO Lugar, the proponent of the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST), which if signed and ratified would cede control of the seas to the UN. This stupid, anti-soverignty treaty would give the UN rights to all minerals in the seabed, to control fishing, even navigation. If this is signed and ratified, we would have to ask permission to use our submarines and warships and would have to give the UN details of any such missions in advance. Stupid, stupid, stupid Lugar.

Yep, and that’s the exact proper comeback to dump in their lap. Never let them forget they had it all in their hands and let it slip thru their fingers.

If just a few informed voters in close states fall for such tricks, the Democrats will have accomplished their goal.

Lugar may be an educated fool, but what does that say about Hoosiers who idolize him?

A Republican majority in the Senate is very important, and Republicans who are running for reelection ought to be supported by people who want to see that majority, ....
Not if left wing whack job RINOs like you are still controlling the Senate and its less influential members. RINOs like you Richard 'Dick' head Lugar are the rotting cancer that needs to be excised from the US Senate.

If I was not the nominee it might be lost," he said of his seat. "Republicans lost the seats before in Nevada and New Jersey and Colorado where there were people who were claiming they wanted somebody who was more of their Tea Party aspect but they killed off the Republican majority." Those races were lost because Country Club Republicans would rather vote for a liberal Democrat elitist than a Republican tea party "commoner".

The Tea Party has only been around for 1 previous election cycle (2010). AFAIK: Only one RINO Senator was eliminated in a primary (Bennett UT) and his replacement Lee (R-UT) seems to be a great guy.
