US has found 5,000 missiles in Libya

WASHINGTON - US experts sent to Libya to recover weapons left over by the regime of fallen leader Moammer Gaddafi have found about 5,000 surface-to-air missiles, the State Department said Friday.
The exact number is difficult to say, said spokesman Mark Toner, as there is no actual inventory and a number were destroyed in NATO air strikes this year.
"We support the Libyan government as it works on this... to disarm, demobilize, and reintegrate the militias. It's clearly a high priority for them," Toner said.
The State Department was still trying to evaluate how many missiles existed in the north African nation, which can pose a danger to civilian aircraft, Toner said.

Just blow the damn things up. But remember, they have another 5000 stashed over there....and another 5000 over there. It’s all about finding the highest bidder.

If I remember right, we raced through Iraq with the intent of not only defeating Hussien, but securing as many weapons as we could to keep them out of the wrong hands.

This is where the importance of philosophy and worldview come in. Securing weapons in Iraq was done under the Bush’s. Obama is a “community organizer.” The idea of organizing the community is to threaten existing government into giving you what you want. Community organizers (and labor unions thugs) will give notes to the other side’s children at school reading: “I do so hope your little Jonny likes it here at Blake Middle School.” CO’s want the little people to be able to threaten the big people. I’m afraid this has transitioned to the larger world. The whole philosophy of taking down secular dictators to replace them with Islamic extremists is a Democrat idea. The concept is for the little country to threaten bigger countries; meaning Democrats will have the overarching menace that lets them reduce freedoms and impose more control at home. Jimmy Carter did this in Iran; which eventually led to the government’s huge security expansion under Bush 2 and later TSA.
Obama has taken down Egypt, Libya and possibly Syria. Yes, those were horrible dictators, but they weren’t Islamic extremists. We could deal with them. We can’t “deal” with Islamic extremists.
I don’t think Jimmy Carter thought this through. I think he has just absorbed the philosophy and it came out in his policies. Obama, I believe has had it thought through by his handlers and let them do it while he paid attention to golfing and vacationing. If you don’t think this is possible, then what was the real purpose behind “Fast and Furious?” (If you said providing an outside cause to remove US freedoms you get a point.)
The plan is that the newer, eviler dictators and the people they terrorize, will love us so much that there doesn't need to be a plan.

Okay...who in the hell edits these things...it first says that they found 5000 missiles, then the next sentence says that they do not know how many exactly because they didn’t count them and didn’t do an inventory....

After that, Daffie promised to be a good boy. And true to his word (Because he was forever after afraid to screw with us) he didn’t screw with us.

Oh I agree but when NATO was bombing... seems like they would use them in self defense. Weird.
