"A week ago, nobody predicted Democrats would win such a decisive PR victory as tax cutters looking out for middle class workers while Republicans stood in the way. House Republicans failed at their attempt to hold out for a full one-year extension of the payroll tax cut. Instead, it's renewed for just two months."

Where to start? So tax cuts are now considered looking out for the middle class yet Bush ruined the economy with his tax cuts for the lower and middle class? And if these tax cuts are looking out for the middle class then wouldn't a year extension be better than a 2 month extension? And the biggie here that the MSM doesn't seem to mention that this payroll tax cut DECREASES revenue going to Social Security.

So, according to the MSM tax cuts help the middle class if they are for two months instead of a full year and DEFUNDING Social Security is now okay?

This had little to do with the payroll tax. It was about protecting Obamacare. Had this extension not been approved, Medicare reimbursements would have been cut by 30%. That pain would have been noticeable by doctors and the people. They would have revolted against Obamacare and his socialist house of cards would have crumbled.
