Merry Christmas to you also! I apologize for being rude

Ditto, mutual and likewise.

I work with several Ron Paul supporters and am getting tired of Bush bashing I suppose.

I will be the first to give GWB credit for restoring a sense of dignity and morality to the White House after the Clinton-Ghoul-Reno years, which were nothing but years of corruption and outright treason. Unfortunately George W. Bush demonstrated by the end of his two terms, that he was NO conservative, except on certain social issues. There was little to no fiscal restraint, the expansion of federal power and influence into every corner of our lives exceeded anything in history, the foundations for the emerging police state we see were laid with the creation of the 'Department of Homeland Security' headed up by "Pennsylvania's Tom Ridge" (as GWB pumped up the hoo-hah back in 2001/2002). And we have all witnessed the fascist extremes of the 'TSA' (The Sanduskying of America). NO truly conservative President would ever have permitted our civil liberties and freedoms to be undermined in such ways, and our terrorist enemies must be laughing their asses off when they view how the American people are now virtually prisoners in their own Nation, subject to surveillance, detention, arrest at any time, being held for ANY reason if the Feds decree, we're not headed for dark times, we're already IN 'dark times' and it's going to get darker.

Whatever happens, we the people will have to take matters into our own hands from these politicians at some point anyway, I’m afraid. We’re on the same side.

That is what our ancestors did against our previous occupiers, aka King George and his crew. I believe we will see history repeating itself, hopefully with the same results.

Well the situation was not as dire until recently and GWB did not want to fight the dems on the fiscal stuff, he was more of a terror fighter, I think he had to give some to get what he wanted. In that respect GWB was somewhat weak. But with the bashing he took from the Left, I will never throw the guy under the bus - period.

And yes we will have to fight sooner or later, I'd prefer sooner.
