Check this out, about the hideously expensive glorified "green" deisel fuel:

The biofuel, made from a blend of used cooking oil, will be mixed with aviation gas or marine diesel fuel for use in the “Green Strike Group” demonstration, according to the departments’ release. It is a “drop-in fuel,” which means that no modifications to the engines are required to burn the fuel. To prepare for the demonstration, the Navy completed testing of all aircraft, including F/A-18, blue Angels and the V-22 Osprey. It also tested the RCB-X, a command boat.

Hmmm.... Swedish riverine boats, where have we heard about those in the news lately...

(snip) The USN sailors departed Iran's Farsi Island, a sensitive location home to an Iranian navy base, at 08:43 GMT aboard the two CB90 Riverine Command Boats (RCBs) that they had been operating, the Pentagon said. ...A senior defence official said the USN had "lost contact with two small US naval craft en route from Kuwait to Bahrain". It was not clear what had led to the lost communications or a reported mechanical failure in one of the craft....The CB90 Riverine Command Boat is a Swedish-designed riverine patrol craft. --- http://www.janes.com/article/57173/iran-briefly-detains-10-us-navy-sailors-on-farsi-island

Speaking of Sweden, the Swedes seem to have awful strong interests in Iran, and Hillary with both. And the Clinton Foundation as well as Obama have been on the receiving end of a lot of donations from the same biofuels company involved in the Navy green fuels program:

Newer piezo injectors on diesel engines DO NOT SURVIVE on biodiesel ..... Older diesel engines with mechanical injectors can run on biodiesel after they are warmed up. I’ve a old 4BT Cummins swapped into 88 Toyota 4x4 that run good in 40 -100 degree weather on locally made biodiesel. First time I left it out in winter it was a “ngreasesickle” till I thawed it in the shop for a few days and flushed the fuel system with regular diesel..... I vote no on reliable biodiesel unless they have overhauled the formula extensively...

My experience.... your mileage may vary ......:o)
