Sen. John McCain, D-Ariz., lit into President Barack Obama today for failing to produce an agreement on extending the payroll tax cut, The Hill reports.
The Senate passed a compromise two-month extension Saturday, but the House rejected it Tuesday amid objections from conservatives who want a one-year extension. Obama needs to exhibit leadership to break the stalemate, McCain told CNN. The president has merely told the House to pass the Senate bill.
"Previous presidents I've served under ... would be calling them [members of Congress] over to the White House, looking them in the eye and telling them, 'We need to fix this'," McCain said.
Other presidents "exerted a lot more leadership than going shopping," he said, referring to a Wednesday outing by Obama to purchase gifts for his family and speak with voters.

Don’t worry, Manic McCain will be stabbing conservatives in the back again tomorrow....
Was Juanito even in DC? Or had he left for AZ already like all the other worthless senators. It is a disgrace that the senate left before this bill was done.
The same McCain tht was ripping the House GOP yesterday for standing up to Obama? I’m McCain’s age and I can say with authority that old coot is an old coot and just needs to retire.
Do you really think that the carpetbagger actually returned to Arizona?
Most of the establishment have homes inside the Beltway.
I think the GOP folded their tents. The looting of SS has begun and they are calling it a tax cut. These guys are easily hoodwinked.

In other words... Yada, yada, yada!!!
Couldn’t agree more my friend.
I thought McCain passed away a year or so ago? Didn’t know he was still alive.....

confirming that he was in Phoenix
Why isn’t McPain confronting Obama about the crass actions he and his Justice Department are putting on McPains home state.
Yesterday he was bashing the Republicans for this. Today it’s Barry. Poor Johnny.
It’s my belief that the libdems will soon be proposing migrating the missing 2% onto the employer’s share. It will be the first step in shifting the entire funding costs of social security onto business exclusively. That will eliminate normal Americans as an obstacle to higher social security taxes to “save” the system.
LOL Thought the same thing.
