I don’t care about this issue, much, although I was in the navy for 21 years. Since gays can join the military, it’s unfair to straight people. In basic training, all recruits are required to take showers, in groups of the same sex. I wasn’t able to take showers with a group of women, but gays are allowed to take showers with people of their sex.
LOL! Did you ever seen the movie "Starship Troopers"? It's set in the future and there are coed showers in the military. In fact that scene was the highlight of the film. Merry Christmas.
