brownsfan, I was in the Navy ‘69 to ‘73 and I assure you there were lesbians serving.
A perfect lady, men would be happy to watch two hotties kiss and don’t want to watch two women who look like men. Men don’t want to DO anything with two women who look like men. We’re not biased.

Its funny; if theyre two hot young women with lots of hair and a fine set of haunches, men are more than happy to watch them kiss. But if theyre doughy with cropped hair and glasses, its a crime against God.I could explain it to you but I'd have to see a photo first :)

What will happen if a man and a woman are found having sex on a ship? I predict at least a Captain’s Mast.

Something...I don't quite understand. Okay..is it just me...or do lot's of lesbians cut their hair to look like guys? Why would that be?
Something I have always wondered about too. If they want to be men so bad then just get a man. Why accept imitation?

I was in the Navy from 77-81, and I assure you that there were gays, both male and female in the Navy at the time. However, they kept it to themselves, both figuratively and literally. And, there were no women on combatant vessels. There were no female fire control technicians.

You’re kidding, right? The Navy Waves have been around since WWII. In 1970 I dated one. Their barracks were across the way from mine. By the way, she was straight.

That depends on if you are a bull dyke lesbian or a lipstick lesbian.

There was a “Don’t ask, Don’t tell” policy long before it was official.

And then they pulled out their vibrators and showed some real fire control. Homosexuality - it’s just partner-assisted masturbation.

Women were not allowed in the Navy until after '73. I was in the navy in 1970. I'm pretty sure those sailors in skirts were women. I thought the WAVES went back to WWII.

You are so wrong. There were Personelmen and Yoemen. And in 1972 I was in a Seabee unit that had the first female. She was an equipment operator. And not bad on the eyes, I might add.

What’s your point?
My post that you chose to respond to, do you have a correction? At least up until 1981 there were no women on combatant vessels, and queers had to be queer in private.
I don’t care if someone is a queer, I don’t think it’s a good idea, but it’s their choice. Just keep it to yourself.

They were guys who felt they were really women on the inside and loved women.
