God Bless Congressman Allen West!

We Floridians know we have a representative in Congress who really stands with our Military!

A slap in the face of the families of our Soldiers who were kidnapped, tortured and murdered by this monster. Another slap in the face to all our brave men and women who wear the uniform. This administration and their pandering to terrorists is despicable, ie, this terrorist couldn't be tried because of interrogation methods used! This is maddening and disgusting when we are more concerned about how we treat brutal savages than protecting our troops as they protect us! Iran, Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, they are laughing at us!

I ask folks to ask Presidential candidates they come in contact with, what is their position on this insane and cruel policy of “catch and release”. Ask them if they will put the Leavenworth cases under a microscope and release those Soldiers who shouldn't be there! lst Lt Michael Behenna sits in Leavenworth as a result of the catch and release policy. The present Campaigner-in-Chief is a disgrace. It is my hope November 2012 will be a joyous time when the American people toss Obama out of our White House and his only mention will be of the most shameful chapter in American history!

Below is information on the catch and release policy:
Is It America's Official Policy To Release Terrorists?!

The Ballad of Michael Behenna by Chad Evan Todd

Michael Behenna is currently serving 15 years (reduced from 25 years) in Leavenworth prison, in part because of America’s “catch and release” policies:

What is America’s “catch and release” policy?

It’s when American and NATO forces capture Taliban members only to watch them walk away free. (This occurred in Iraq as well).

As Sara Carter of the Washington Examiner reported, in the words of one our soldiers:

“It’s as if the Taliban have more rights than us or the people of Afghanistan,” said Specialist Charles Brooks, 26, a U.S. Army medic with 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, in Zabul province. “We have to let these guys go all the time no matter what they do, and then we find them trying to hit us again. But if they think I’ve screwed up once, then they’ll [the military] have no problem throwing me to the wolves,” Brooks said.

It gets worse.

Taliban soldiers are instantly set free when a village elder signs “the pledge,” a piece of paper that vouches for them. That’s it. That’s not an option for an American serviceman serving time for combat related convictions here at home.

As the New York Times reported May, 2010:

“The young Taliban prisoner was led blindfolded to a sweltering military tent, seated among 17 village elders and then, eyes uncovered, faced a chief accuser brandishing a document with the elders’ signatures or thumbprints. Capt. Scott A. Cuomo, a United States Marine commander… told the prisoner: “This letter right here is a sworn pledge from all of your elders that they’re vouching for you and that you will never support the Taliban or fight for the Taliban ever again.” … the captain rendered the group’s judgment on the silent prisoner, Juma Khan, 23, whom the Marines had seized after finding a bomb trigger device, ammunition and opium buried in his yard… “So on behalf of peace, your family, your grandfather,” Captain Cuomo solemnly said, “we’re going to let you go.”

That's right, Taliban members, terrorists, insurgents — SET FREE.

Why are terrorists, who have admitted to killing our Soldiers, released while brave Soldiers such as lst Lt Michael Behenna sit in Leavenworth? What message does the US military send when we punish our own Soldiers more harshly than we punish the combatants who have killed and maimed our brave men and women on the frontline?

In addition to the insane, cruel and counterproductive “catch and release” policy, please, take the time to read this article by Diana West on COIN.

http://www.dianawest.net/Home/tabid/36/EntryId/1913/Are-COIN-Foot-Patrols-Winning-Afghan-Trust-or-Just-Losing-American-LImbs.aspx

Below is a quote:

“The counterinsurgency tactic that is sending U.S. soldiers out on foot patrols among the Afghan people, rather than riding in armored vehicles, has contributed to a dramatic increase in arm and leg amputations, genital injuries and the loss of multiple limbs following blast injuries. “

What are America’s policy makers thinking? How many more servicemen will senselessly die, be maimed for life, or sit in prison after serving under these deadly and senseless policies?

Do we as Americans really wonder why so many of our Soldiers suffer from PTSD? The question is why haven’t our elected leaders and policy makers done something about it?

Now, just yesterday, it was reported that Obama is about to release Ali Musa Daqduq, a brutal Hezbolla terrorist who killed 5 American Soldiers, 4 of these Heroes he kidnapped and tortured before he killed them.

http://pjmedia.com/tatler/headline/the-terrorist-get-out-of-jail-free-card/

Here is more on this administration releasing and negotiating with terrorists:

http://www.weeklystandard.com/weblogs/TWSFP/2009/06/uighurs_released_to_bermuda_al_1.asp

And this is just a partial list of this scathing catch and release policy by this administration!!!

It is my hope that Chad's song will be a huge hit and will be played on radio stations all across America. For the last two years Michael's mother and I have been up on the hill and we have knocked on so many Congressmen’s doors, yet the catch and release policy and COIN still prevails. Meanwhile more Taliban soldiers walk free simply on a “pledge.” Through Chad's song, I believe that Michael Behenna’s story will finally be heard and Americans will be outraged, and they will demand that these cruel and insane policies that are hurting our military be stopped! My Son served 4 deployments with the 82nd Airborne, he is a Bronze Star Recipient. I regard lst Lt Army Ranger Michael Behenna my Son, they are all our Sons and Daughter who serve. There is a line in the song “The Battle of Michael Behenna and it goes like this:

A fine young Soldier sits in Leavenworth tonight,

“Step up and lend your voice

To the right side of right

There's something worth doing something about,

Let the voice of truth lead the way

and lead Michael out!

Free Michael Behenna!

Seek,
I think the world of Colonel West.
BUT I am afraid he is in for trouble during re-election.
His is a very liberal district most usually, and the Dems are targeting him as well as Marco Rubio as the Dems fear these two can blow away their plantation for blacks and latins.
Throw in a whole passel of Jews who ALWAYS vote Dem and if they can come up with a respectable candidate then the colonel may have dificulty.
