Ron Paul Plows to Lead in Iowa; Young Voters Sowing the Seed
Yahoo News ^ | Dec. 19th, 2011 | Sherry Tomfeld

When it comes to foreign affairs, Ron Paul is the most mocked of the GOP field. The argument could be made that Paul only wants to follow the Constitution. He does not believe we should fight a war unless it is declared a war by Congress. As a former military man, Paul says he wants a strong defense, but wants to bring troops back home from around the world. Paul's philosophy on foreign affairs continues to be his biggest stumbling block with older voters and his GOP rivals. An article earlier this year in USA Today stated that Paul has the largest support in military men and women.

Ron Paul is a nut-job.

The voting age should be raised to 25.

Yeah..I also think they probably are wondering why the GOP is so freaked out over Paul. If he’s just a one trick pony..it’s over after Iowa..right?

just another example of the stupid Republican party making the Iowa caucuses first up in picking our nominee... if they were smart they would make the Missouri primary the first since it’s has both north and south, rual and big city voters

Young voters, democrat leaning independents, and democrats. That’s the makeup of Paul’s support. Come Jan 3, will they show? History says no.

Don’t be surprised if Paul seriously under-performs his poll numbers. Doesn’t matter really. By then Paul’s purpose will have been served. He will take out the Not Romney’s.

Perry thinks it is 21. I just can’t believe someone who is running for office doesn’t know the voting age. I think out of all the many many things I have heard from the candidates that is the most scariest. He should not even step foot in the White House. You need someone who at least knows the basics.

I wonder how many people here have actually heard Ron Paul or read his positions rather than simply regurgitate what the RINOs and Democrat/RINO media feeds them? Not many, judging by the comments.

Just lookin’ around where I live in Iowa..the signs are Paul’s and the hot scuttle-butt may be Bachmann gaining some ground. I think the problem in Iowa anyway..the voters don’t like Mitt or Newt for president. They like it even less when they spend entire debates banging heads against each other, getting off fiscal policies and ignoring Obama.

I’ve heard more good things about Perry lately..mostly that he does stay on topic and he does go after Obama.

That’s just the coffee shop version mind you!

Has anyone questioned that Ron Paul could be the ‘victim’ of an ACORN operation CHAOS?

I can’t reconcile youthful voters as being in sync with a wrinkly senior citizen who barely articulates the concerns of out-of-work college graduates.

There is no draft - so his isolationist views don’t carry much weight.

Very strange. You would expect them to be Obama’s minions.

I’m still convinced that Ron Paul supporters and #Occupy protesters are the same people, in large part.

One thing that I note about Paul supporters, is that they don’t seem to able to act like adults during the debates.

Everyone else is being respectful of the candidates and allowing the debates to continue uninterrupted, and the Paul folks act like they’re attending a middle-school pep rally, or someone was handing out free cheese.

These bogus PPP Iowa Polls are mostly coming from Des Moines and their student district. Plus that, the Paultards are spamming all the polls big time. They are busing people around and stuffing the ballot boxes.

This is a cult we are dealing with. If America buys it, or is in any way, anything like these polls suggest, then we are not going to win and this country is doomed.
