I know people say they've lost all faith in politicians but I truly am to that point. To hell with them all.

It’s because you’re putting your faith in man. Cursed is man who trusts in man.

Cain has dropped out. You know how all the hub bub over this kind of took over the whole race.

I imagine he doesn’t want to stir up things right now and take the focus from those who are running. Those sleazeball gals have picked up their pay from the DNC and nobody is interested now.

I am not fond of the candidates either, but there isn’t a whole lot we can do about it.

Seeing what happened to Cain, you really can’t blame nice people for not wanting to have their lives in constant turmoil, destructive turmoil.

Never underestimate the power of evil. Cain was attacked and attacked by both the media and the nobamma dirt diggers. He may have been shown how over whelming difficult the journey to the nomination was going to be( even his own party wouldn't support him)
Now the ‘’government’’ has once again picked the candidate who will have the R after his name. I honestly feel our government is not your(great) grandfathers government.

Go to rickperry.org and browse around. Go open to the idea of Perry. If you come away disappointed at least you will know.

Perry stumbled but he has fought like he was on a mission. He wasn't selling books like Cain.

He's not running to improve his brand like Newt.

He's not running because it's his turn like Mitt.

He is running because he sees what is happening to this country and wants to stop it. While he's not perfect his motive is.

Perry is very pro-gun

pro-life

ex-military.

He came from humble roots.

Perry is the candidate we need to rally around.

Strange. I’m a Conservative American, and I put absolutely NO hope in Herman Cain. Had Cain been white he wouldn’t have even surfaced. He had no world-based intellect. He had no vision of leadership. I found him to be poorly spoken, poorly organized. Why anyone would have sent this guy money or support was, and is, beyond me. I’m glad he’s gone. That having been said I don’t think anyone in the field is Presidential material. This ? is the best we can do as Conservatives in this country? Sad commentary.

"I wonder how much "left-over" campaign cash was used to silence his accusers."

I doubt if any. None of these accusers had a viable legal claim against Cain. Once he dropped out their job was finished and the media was through with them.

If anything it is a reflection of the lack of our faith that they are so bad. Not individually you are I specifically but the culture. We allow a set of rules to be defined that box us in. Nothing is more stupid than the idea that ‘anyone is better than Obama’. It is a fiction and I’m certain all of us could think of worse. I think maybe we have gotten off track. Looking for the glittering show horse when we really need a solid strong principles workhorse.

That is why I’m now supporting Bachmann. She is conservative, she’s stood on principle on issue after issue and she doesn’t back down in the face of the left which has tried to destroy her and failed. I’m tried of being herded, I’m sticking with what I know and I know Michelle Bachmann and I trust her. She may not be the glittering show horse though she is easy on the eyes, but she has substance and principled clarity not just in words but in deed. Its time to stop being herded by the msm and the political class because we know exactly where they are herding us. What they really want is for us to get so frustrated we don’t even vote in the primary.

If Cain stayed, the harassment would have continued, even long after he was elected president, if that were the case. The liberals will never allow an actual black American person, particularly a conservative, go against the pale one, who isn’t qualified, in more ways than one. The Cains don’t deserve, and shouldn’t tolerate years and years of harassment. I also imagine death threats against him or his family. We lost a good man, but I think he will still be around in other areas. As for the women, they got their payoffs, and if Cain re-erupts, they will come out again. That’s how it’s done in Alinskey’s world.

There is at least one other option.

Ross Perot hinted that “they” threatened his family if he didn’t get out.

Eerie silence would apply.

I share your frustration. I put some hope into Cain just to see him deny, deny, deny... give up. Look at what we are left with.

Thank you for the post. All I can say, honestly, is that I myself could NEVER run for President. Imagine if every bad thing you ever did was suddenly ripe for the press?

Every sexual thing...

A drunken party...

A wild night at the disco...

The thing you “got over” in your marriage...

That night in college you’ll never forget...

The time you flipped the MG...

All I can say, honestly, is that I sympathize with these poor bastards, and I regret that we’re going to get Presidents from here on in who haven’t LIVED a whit.

He was on Hannity last week and hinted heavily that he is looking into legal action against those who slandered him.

Where are Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint and Paul Ryan when we really need them?

Problem is not the candidates.

Problem is that we've turned the Office of President into a popular monarchy.

In Washington or Adam's day, no President thought he was the solution to all America's problems. In fact, they were careful to weaken the Presidency enough so that mortal men could not wreak too much havoc.

No President thought he had the solution to how many after-tax cents-per-dollar some miner Appalachia took home to his family.

Reagan didn't think he was the solution either.

Only someone who thinks of it as a dirty job that someone has to do is suited for the job, and we are instead looking to coronate some movie star like Palin.

As long as we're trying to elect a benevolent dictator, we'll always be disappointed by the results.

I hesitate to post a comment, because I too, would have liked to seen him fight to clear his name. I’ve given it some thought and I’ve decided it is not just Herman Cain’s fight, but our fight also. We will never have the kind of public servant we need if we allow candidates to be treated the way Herman Cain was treated. We need the media to understand that we expect journalism - real vetting of the candidates - not supermaket magazines stories accepted as vetting.

Any ideas anyone? Most of us here don’t listen to the alphabet media anyway. What do we do to get the media’s attention?

If you're innocent, you stand and fight until hell freezes over. But, Herman drops out of the GOP race for President.

Cain withdrew just as his campaign was gathering momentum. He had just released a campaign video and given an address in which he outlined his views on foreign policy.

The entire debacle with Cain stinks. If I ran a journalistic organization, I would have staff assigned to each of his accusers to ferret out their contacts and activities over the last year. Whether sprung from the DNC, GOP, ACLU, or the KKK, the voters need to be aware of the source and scope of these tactics. If there are no repercussions to the responsible parties, activities such as this will multiply exponentially.

Oh, cheer up. There are good people left in the world and in the race.

I was for Palin also and kinda stunned when she decided not to run. I’ve heard that she got death threats for her family. But not sure I buy that.

Too many people rushed off to find someone to love. Cain seemed loveable. He was never the man that his supporters thought he was. If he’d stayed in, you’d be hearing from both his campaign and his accusers.

Both he and Sarah have become irrelevant now in choosing a candidate, so why talk about them. The silence is not eery, it’s natural.
