WICHITA, Kan. (AP) Koch Industries is looking to fill 2,500 job openings across the nation thanks to the commercial growth of most of its subsidiaries.
Company officials said most of the 300 job openings at Koch Industries and 10 of its subsidiaries in Wichita are new, professional positions in areas such as information technology, accounting and engineering, The Wichita Eagle (http://bit.ly/t02aP1) reported Friday.
"Most of the job openings are due to growth as opposed to replacement," said Jeff Morris, director of talent development for Koch Industries.
"It's a good problem to have," he said of the overall job openings. "You'd like to be able to fill positions as quickly as you can. But we are selective and find the best we can hire. It's not necessarily a quick catch-up."

Wichita could use some good news, with the downturn in the aviation business.
Quick, tell 0bama to get Holder in there to put a stop to this madness before our economy shows a REAL improvement!
How do you like my Wisconsin liberal impersonation?
I’d like to help sort through the resumes. I can spot a liberal resume a mile away.
This is the way to increase revenue Obama!
I miss Willie Green.
Would one of the bro’s be a good presidential candidate? Come to think of it, was it Cain’s declaring that he was their bother by a different mother that put the target on his back?
Make that “brother by a different mother.”
Stupid Libs who use the Koch Brothers as a perjorative should at least have the integrity to not apply to work for men they consider bad. Of course they wont stick to their convictions.
Wichita got good news last week with the announcemednt that Hawker-Beechcraft is leaving Salina, KS to fortify it’s Wichita operation. (Sorry Salina). There was further good news with the announcement that Southwest Airlines had ordered over 200 new 737s. I see those 737 fuselages in Kansas City on flatcars headed for the Seattle area to be finished. I hope to see alot more. They’re quite a sight sitting in the railyard alongside US169 taking a rest before continuing on to the northwest.
Evil capitalists! When the Five Year Plan is perfected, the Obama Administration will produce 2501 jobs!
Of course this is good news.
It does, however, discount the many thousands of Koch jobs that have been lost over the last few years at plants in the building products side of the business (sawmills, plywood plants, wallboard plants, and chemical plants).
I work for a wholly owned subsidiary of Koch and can think of no other place I would rather be.
This is but another example of the jobs available for those who elected to get degrees IT, accounting, or engineering versus the whiners at Occupy Wall Street who got their $100,000 degree in Underwater Basket Weaving.
No worries folks. I sure the libs will stick to their principles and refuse to apply...
(Probably be slapping a Mitt bumper sticker over their Zero sticker.)
Koch Industries...and the liberals call them and all like them the bad guys...I guess this is the proof, good guys would say they need the government to help them create jobs.
This is just more evidence that the economy is beginning to do significantly better. If you ask local businesspeople, you’d find the same trend in many areas of the country, I suspect. Republicans are going to have to fight the next election with a recovering economy for the background, and they’d better be prepared for it, and frame their campaign pitches accordingly.
>>...was it Cains declaring that he was their bother by a different mother that put the target on his back?<<
No, actually the way he handled it took the target off the back with very effective humor...one of the best lines of his short campaign: “I’m the Koch brothers’ brother by another mother.”
And he said this after a setup where you thought he was going to deny a strong connection...had me in stitches when I read it. Too bad he wasn’t as well prepared in the rest of his campaign, because that’s the sort of sense of humor we could use in the White House.
It’s all a devious Koch Brothers conspiracy to hurt the economy. Somehow.
