Why should there be tolerance for those who break our laws anyway?
We pride ourselves to live in a country of laws but we hesitate to apply the law to those who invade us.

securing the border first”...just euphemisms for amnesty.”
Bullshit. You don’t make that #1 priority, the rest is bullshit. Simple.
A border control strategy must be responsive to the unique threats that exist at different parts of the frontier. This strategy must include round-the-clock drone flights to monitor activity, multi-layer, strategic fencing in urban areas, and vastly improved communication between state and federal authorities.
Job one.
That is the first step, then secure the border, 6 month detention for anyone caught crossing the border illegally. End all handouts to illegals.
Problem solved.
Like “police” are a synonym for amnesty towards crime?
Why not REAL fences AND virtual fences?..
And fortified areas(camps) in the most obvious insurgent places..
With proximity watched zones.. and Ariel surveillance..
Coast Guard submarines may not be a bad idea.. not nukes but diesel..
So what about the kid brought over at 2 years old who knows nothing else but America and is now a productive adult member of society?
Still a minor? Well, then when the parents get deported they take their kid.
Been a criminal or a leach on the taxpayer? Outa here.
Anchor babies? That’s got to end.
But sorry, I can’t go along with punishing a kid for the sins of the parents, even if that “rewards” the parents in some existential way. Green card them, again only if they have not become a criminal or leach. By being productive, they have paid their dues sufficiently to counter being brought here illegally through no fault of their own.
As for the parents? Deport them.
And secure the dang border!!!
Oh, well if you said it's easy then it must be! Phew. Thank you for your important contribution to solving this problem
I completely agree. But the Republicans would never nominate anyone who felt the way you and I do. They’re too afraid of losing the Hispanic vote, too afraid of the “R” word. Who have they nominated recently? George W. Bush, who earned the nickname “Jorge Arbusto.” McCain, who earned the nickname “McAmnesty.” Next it will probably be Gingrich, who thinks the longer an illegal alien has lived here, stealing from the U.S., the more he deserves to stay.
It couldn’t be more clear. The Republican Party will not nominate anyone who will really do anything about illegal immigration.
1) Federal criminal charges against local/state officials flouting federal immigration laws (i.e. sanctuary cities, in-state tuition for illegals, etc)
2) Stiff penalties for willing/lax employers of illegals: cuffed perp walks, fines, and ultimately jail time for repeat offenders.
Michele Bachmann supports deporting them. Newt Gingrich wants to give them legal status.
