A conservative Mississippi mayor has said he is gay after an audit showed he had the city pay for a wide range of personal expenses, including a visit to a gay sex store in Canada.
Southaven Mayor Greg Davis revealed publicly for the first time Thursday that he is gay, and said he has struggled to keep his sexuality from affecting his public role as mayor of Mississippi’s third-largest city.

I don’t care if he used the tax payer’s money at a gay porn shop or at a Holy Bible & Amerian Flag store, he needs to be booted from office and sent to jail.
I think he pulled the wrong card out. If he did it on purpose, yes, he should resign.

Jeeze, anyone with that look on his face should have been outed long before getting elected.
Why the hell is it so hard for Republicans to find ordinary, straight, people to run for office anyway.
“The isue I have with him is NOT that he is gay, or that he I divorced, BUT he used the city’s (read taxpayer’s money) in a gay bookstore. Now, did he mean to use the city’s credit card or was it an honest mistake. (I have 3 credit cards, so sometimes I pay for the wrrong card.)”
My first problem with him is that he’s gay (sorry).
My second problem with him is that he’s a Republican.
My third problem with him is that he claims to be a conservative.
My fourth problem with him is that he got elected as a representative of the Republican Party.
My fifth problem with him is that he married a woman and proceeded to wreck her life.
My sixth problem with him is that he had kids with that woman and has made a mess of their lives.
My seventh problem with him is that he used his city credit card at a gay store.
My eighth problem with him is that I will probably be stuck with having to pay his medical bills, because of his lifestyle.
Other than that, it’s cool...to each their own...live and let live.

You may hate gays, and if you want to I do respect that. However, I hope you respect that I am NOT a religious conservative, that I am a Fiscal and Military Conservative. I am pro-life, but I don’t go to church. To me, religion is hateful, as I can see with the attacks on the Mormon Church, that it is a cult.
They destroy the lives of a spouse & children (in the case of our former governonr, 2 spouses and 2 children); if that’s OK with you, so be it. It’s indefensible.
Does it? I am not going to argue. Christian conservatives and fiscal conservatives, won’t get along. I am not going to say anything more on it.
