Dennis Prager once said to the effect ‘If you don’t believe in God do you believe in nothing? People have to believe in something. Most people can’t live their lives in a spiritual void. So when people don’t believe in God, they have to channel that belief into something else they view as their savior. Something else large, effecting their daily lives. Something they believe has the power to take care of them. Something they end up following with a fever of faith and certainy: they worship Government.’

So when people dont believe in God.... they worship Government. The thing though is blacks are the most religious and the most Liberal (and likewise Hispanics and the 2nd most in both), not to mention Libertarianism is as about as far away from communism and it's am Atheist philosophy. So faith in big government doesn't always mean lack faith in religion and vice versa.
