No wonder Oakland Mayor Jean Quan is going to delete her Facebook page, which her staff says has attracted threats, bigoted rants and all-round angry emotions.
Mayor Quan will be disabling this Facebook fan page. If you would like to contact the mayors office, please use (her website), her staff posted on the page late Thursday.
And as you might expect, that post attracted more than 160 comments in just 12 hours,

I’m sorry about your wife, and no, I don’t think it’s a coincidence.
Just another reason why not to sign up for FB. If I want someone to know anything, I’ll call them on the phone or tell them in person. Sorry, but I don’t feel the need to announce what I’m doing every minute of the day nor do I care to know what flavor their Starbucks was this morning.

the threats and bigoted rants are coming from disgruntled Oakland A’s fans, I’m sure...
I would love to hear some of these "threats, bigoted rants and all-round angry emotions" and how her staff categorized them.
