A friend of mine was thinking of buying one of those super lite weight .357’s for his wife.

He shot it one time.

Changed his mind real fast.

He shoots my .41 mag all the time with no problem.

That .357 ate his lunch.

This is precisely why the armchair commandos shouldn't make recommendations on handgun selection if they have no hands on experience with the weapon and the caliber.

Last Spring, I took a three day Advanced Pistol Operator class and shot my 226ST in 9mm and consumed ~1,700 rounds. This one couple were shooting a G22 and G23. At the end of the first day, their fingers were taped up. They've since moved on to 1911s and Glock 17s and 19s.

I understand completely. My Star "Firestar 40" is a .40S&W in steel, but it's about the same size as a Colt Mustang in .380. Not a whole lot of fun to shoot. But it IS tiny!
