Sorry, but at this point Newt is the only one left who can hold the pass against a Romney victory. The others cant: Bachmanns a desperate psycho, Santorums a whiner, and Perrys ability to articulate coherent thoughts is dubious at best.
Naturally, a Romney nomination ensures the reelection of Obumo.
I forget who it was, but someones tagline on here reads something like, Conservatives will find a way to get Obama reelected. Unfortunately, that ominous statement is coming to fruition.
Thanks guys and gals.
Nail ....Head
It wasn't conservatives. It was the GOP leadership and the media. See tag line.
“Sorry, but at this point Newt is the only one left who can hold the pass against a Romney victory. The others cant: Bachmanns a desperate psycho, Santorums a whiner, and Perrys ability to articulate coherent thoughts is dubious at best.”
Dunno, things are pretty good here in Perry’s Texas. We need to nominate someone who is going to be conservative, and I don’t trust Newt to do the right thing when the chips are on the line.
I do trust him to pass some absolutely baffling stuff. Like look at Bush Sr. I can completely see Newt nominating another Souter.
Anyone who does not NOW know why Palin decided not to run? Obviously she was told in no uncertain terms that if she did she would get the Newt treatment, that Romney is the Establishment choice, that they would rather lose than suffer anyone except their choice to be President. Never mind that he is Dewey—Bush 41-Dole—McCain all over again.
I’m with you- Newt is not perfect, but at least he is NOT ROMNEY
I don’t think I could drag myself to the polling booth for Romney.
But I would GLADLY vote for Newt.
And I can’t wait to see the debates~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Newt will have Obama whimpering in the corner.
At this point, I hope a real conservative alternative emerges from the back of the pack. Since Pennsylvania’s primary is late, if it comes down to Newt and Mitt, I will vote for whichever one is behind at the time. Our only hope is for a brokered convention where we end up with neither at the top of the ticket.
Absolutely correct assessment.
The left is afraid of Newt. Let's face it, Obama's short tenure has begun to shake the foundation of the house of cards liberalism has always been.
These people are vulnerable, and the thing they fear most is exposure.
That's why they fear Newt. He's running for Sheriff. He's the one who said Barney Frank and Chris Dodd should go to jail. He's a gunslinger, bursting through the saloon doors firing real bullets while the other candidates are at the bar ordering sasparilla.
Newt's a historian. He can articulate the reasons liberalism has failed, and why Obama's policies are wrong for America. Newt has called Obama an "Alinsky radical". Who else has fired that shot?
Newt said the Palestinians are an invented people. Bang. Newt has said John Bolton would be in his cabinet. Bang. Bang!
Liberals fear exposure and Newt's the one for the job. He will not only put Obama on the defensive, he will put liberalism itself on trial. The left is afraid of Newt because he alone has the weapons to fire at Obama, Obama's policies, and most importantly Obama's liberal (ok socialist) ideology.
Sounds like a Romney ballwasher to me.
Propping up Newt by castigating others is not the best recommendation. And calling Bachmann, the most consservative candidate in the race, a "psycho" is beyond the pale. The Leftist MSM have tried to portray Bachmann in this light starting with the cover of Newsweak. Your mouthing of this same kind of vicious slander reflects more on you than Bachmann. You certainly aren't a conservative.
Horse hockey. In any two man race, Romney loses. The sooner people come to this realization, the sooner we can begin backing an actual conservative candidate. Romney's numbers have not gone up in months. This means that a sizable majority of Republican voters will back anyone other than Romney.
We should be operating out of confidence rather than out of fear.
Here's the counterpart to this from the Rombots.
"Romney is the only one who can win."
Santorum, Bachmann and Perry all could win against Obama.
