Newt is a potential trainwreck!

When the skeletons start falling out of his closet it will never stop!

Those things were out ages ago. Peeps that care about those things likely don’t care about Iran getting nukes.

If they live in Mexico they aren’t immigrants.

If Newt gives them amnesty, they are.

They are guest workers.

Newt is the most knowledgeable, really? How can someone so “smart” be so stupid with his recent actions and comments. Newt is slimy. No thanks.

Newt it is, unless we can coalesce around a better alternative. We must not fragment and let Worthless Willard win with a plurality!

Newt is brilliant. He has demonstrated the chops to take the battle to Obama more effectively than any of the others. But he has enough baggage to fill both Air Force Ones. And, given his history, he is a big risk for work accidents like the one last May about the Ryan plan. Newt's a risk. He has the smarts to win big. But he could also snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I wonder which of the candidates is getting the strongest financial support from active-duty military?

I agree we are hungry for a streetfighter. After watching Bush deliver us to the wolves because he didn’t fight back, I can’t believe even Coulter thinks we need Romney, someone so unfamiliar with adversity that he’s flustered by Bret Baier. I cringe picturing Romney’s nervous giggle and fake smile on display against Obama, let alone jihadis, Communists and dictators.

Unlike some here, I do believe Perry would make a solid president but he didn't get into the race for his own ambitions. As a consequence, he was underprepared and he won't be changing minds in 2012.

At this moment, I think Newt's the best option against Romney whom NRO, Fox, Coulter and a who's who of east coast establishment want to put up to lose against Obama.

Santorum is a big government compassionate conservative, a neocon interventionist, with theocratic tendencies. He thinks more of his accomplishments than she should and is easily irritated -- he should go back to PA and try to beat Bob Casey. Bachmann has had 23 foster children; she isn't ready. Who's left?

Ultimately I expect the electorate will send Obama back to the White House for another four years no matter what nominee is put forth by the GOP.

Stop this politically correct "guest worker" crap.

They are criminals.

You can call them "guest workers" and Rick Perry can call them "guest workers", but they are criminals and your political correctness bs doesn't change any of that.

NRO should now just get it over with and rename themselves National Republicans On Line.

They no longer are Conservatives, they are 100% pure, GOP Establishment bots.

How they mighty have fallen.

His only downside is his love for illegal immigration.

No, Perry's achilles heel is his shameless corny capitalism. He will talk a good game on the campaign trail and then go to DC and be just another corrupt Liberal GOP Establishment bot.

Of the remaining candidates Santorum is the least qualified for the job. Habitual whining is not a leadership skill.

Sorry but the hypocrisy of a rabid Perrybot like you attacking Newt as weak on immigration is too absurd for anyone to take seriously

"He knows he has only one shot left to go down in history as the President who saved America from the Marxists/Socialists/Communists. Its Newt’s time."

If only his "I'm a grandfather now" phrase could be the motivator for a passionate and personal effort to do just that!

His research, reading and study of the ideas of America's Founders equip him for possessing a ready offense on behalf of liberty versus the false and oppressive ideas of the belief systems you describe.

The only antidote to the counterfeit ideas and lies of the so-called "progressives," who seek power under the guise of "helping" those they would enslave, is a steady dose of the "self-evident" truths embodied in the Declaration of Independence.

Newt, if he chooses to use his intellect and ready response ability, could demolish Obama's shallow underpinning in Mao, Marx, Lenin, and Keynes.

Whether he has the passion, discipline and dedication to do it may rely on the help of that Divine Providence the Founders acknowledged as their Source and Help (see their speeches, documents and writings).

No Paul and No Romney. Ever.

I wouldn't mind seeing Paul as the Chairman of the Federal Reserve.
