"Why should we try repenting and turning back if that would only delay His return?God already said we wont,,so come Christ and come quickley, and end this continued suffering."I have agonized a long time about that very idea/question.
Like Paul, he came to the conclusion that it was better for him to stay here than to "go home"

Your question (and many have wondered, as well) might have been answered by Jesus at Gethsemane...He knew His fate; yet, He prayed.

I think that aligns with 2 Chr. 7:14 ...
IF .... and pray ... THEN ...

Its not about literal towers. Its about a nation turning its back on God. I'm sorry...I understand that. I was just speculating that rebuilding the towers 'bigger and better' on the same spot was akin to the defiance spoken of in Isaiah 9:10...instead of being led to repentance; we rebuild. Sometimes I just can't express my thoughts 'on paper' very well. :-)

When I used to drive through the southern states; I took notice of all the billboards with a Biblical message of some kind (usually 'G-d Bless America' or some such...)
I only saw TWO calling upon people to repent...BOTH in Georgia.

Oh, thank you so much for the generous and kind reply!

I’ve thought about that phenomenon, both in our Church in general and in my own witnessings. Jesus didn’t mince that message, though, did He? :)
To: who knows what evil?
That’s interesting....but I think it will take a LOT more than signs to do this. There needs to be a call given in every Christian community to re-evangelize our people and stress the need to become a HOLY people.

Agreed...it WILL take more than signs. I just took it as a subtle indicator of how little attention our culture pays to repentance. Even though we are called upon to repent in the Scriptures; you really don't hear about it that much; whether on signs, from the pulpit, in conversation with friends and family, and so forth.
Then again, I'm in New England. :-)

New England...eh? I understand....but that same loss of understanding the notion of sin/loss of relationship with God is worldwide.
