No one could have known that when a Tunisian fruit vendor set himself on fire in a public square, it would incite protests that would topple dictators and start a global wave of dissent. In 2011, protesters didnt just voice their complaints; they changed the world.

On Monday, some 2nd graders at out school went on a field trip to the Midway Museum down on the water. One of the little ones told me yesterday that there were people out there with signs trying to get in their way from getting on the ship for the tour.
It was the stupid OWSers trying to "help" the longshoremen. (too funny how that little thing backfired!)
Time goes against the union to honor these morons.

If only the Tea Party had raped and sexually abused people at their protests would they be respected like the OWS and arab springers.

The FR person of the year should be the millions of people who walk by the newsstand and ignore Time magazine.
I’ve got the YouTube on the BluRay, and did a search on “syrian army defector”, put it on continuous play, and it’s still going on while I’m in here. The defectors make videos y’know, showing their faces and their military IDs, stating their names, and denouncing the Assad regime. Unlike Libya, the Syrian people are on their own, with very little of anything coming from outside — certainly nothing from NATO et al.
It’s more clear than ever that that NATO chose Libya first to queer the deal on Syria when the time came. Neither Russia nor China will support anything substantial. It leaves the Arab League, plus freelance work by Turkey. Israel should condemn the Arab League for doing nothing (without threatening to intervene), really humiliate those sorry drag-ass no-account do-nothing effs.
Thanks John W.

"...they changed the world." Indeed. Against very long odds, Time magazine has become even more irrelevant this year than it was last.
