Federal, state and Lynn cops busted up a welfare fraud ring at a pair of convenience stores today, arresting several people for allegedly ripping off taxpayers with government-issued EBT cards, the Herald has learned.
Agents from the federal Department of Agriculture, state troopers assigned to Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett’s office and Lynn police raided two downtown stores this morning and arrested at least six people on fraud-related charges, sources told the Herald. The investigation focused on allegations that people with EBT cards — which are issued to the needy to purchase food — were being misused.
Officers were still at the stores this morning seizing computers and other items. Several people are slated to be arraigned today in Lynn District Court.

Dave needs an editor. If you read his second ‘graf’ without the paranthetical, it says that people with the cards were being abused. I think he means to say people with the cards were abusing them.

The left just doesn’t seem to get upset about the level of fraud in their pet policies, because actually helping others is not the goal.
The goal is to feel good about yourself as “a good person” for advocating that “the government do something to help people”.

EXACTLY what I was thinking. In fact, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the customers and store owners would have more than their share of illegals. Can you blame them? They know Uncle Sucker is paying out.
