The donations F&F made to politicians weren’t illegal, but Gingrich said the politicians who got them should go to jail.
Should he be judged on his own standard? He took money from them to help them hook up with the political class. If he was worth his $1.6 million, he did an excellent job of making sure that congress wouldn’t pass laws that would impact the companies, and that’s how we ended up where we are today.
You can’t attack politicians for reacting to the work you did for a company, and not expect people to notice.
