A state senator from Southern California was considering calling for a boycott of Lowe's stores after the home improvement chain pulled its advertising from a reality show about Muslim-Americans.
Calling the retail giant's decision "un-American" and "naked religious bigotry," Sen. Ted Lieu, D-Torrance, told The Associated Press on Sunday that he would also consider legislative action if Lowe's doesn't apologize to Muslims and reinstate its ads. The senator sent a letter outlining his complaints to Lowe's Chief Executive Officer Robert A. Niblock.
The retail giant stopped advertising on TLC's "All-American Muslim" after a group called the Florida Family Association complained the show was "propaganda that riskily hides the Islamic agenda's clear and present danger to American liberties and traditional values."
. . . In addition to an apology and reinstatement of the ads, Lieu said he hoped Lowe's would make an outreach to the community about bias and bigotry.

He used to be a representative from El Segundo, near LAX - one of his offices was right next to my laundromat in that town when I lived there.
Ted Lieu is an America hating leftist.
Should Lowe’s (or whoever) be FORCED BY THE GOVERNMENT to advertise on Glen Beck?
If a Republican had proposed the above, how would it have been received?
“(You get what you tolerate)”
You realize that’s a BRILLIANT line, don’t you?
Two can play at this game. I have been boycotting California for at least 10 years and I do shop at Lowes and will continue to do so.
Give a note to the store manager (proves you walked in the door) and email corporate HQ with a copy of your receipt if you like, as to why you’ve chosen to patronize their store.
Yeah, this guy is part of the same Government who want to make it a federal offense for saying anything bad about Islam.
What’s with the Chinese bashing?
I watched the first episode and it was just plain dull.
I don’t blame Lowe’s for backing out.
How about a buycott to counter the boycott? Buy something at Lowe’s. It doesn’t matter what. Mail the receipt to his office:
Sen. Ted Lieu
State Capitol, Room 4090
Sacramento, CA 95814
Include a note telling him what he can do with it.
Wow, California state senators are very powerful. I wonder if Moonbeam knows that the senator is ordering a boycott of Lowes? Actually, Lowes would be wise not to do business with the state because it will soon be in the same shape as Illinois which doesn’t pay its vendors. Smart move would be to tell them to go over to Home Depot.
islam is an afront to civilization and is at war with America
Lowes was right to walk away from the propaganda piece and I will support them for it
Who else advertises on that disgusting TV show?
That line is universal. In 1957 I was a student representative to the Wisconsin governors conference on children and youth. In my speech I stated that the communities in Wisconsin would get the exact level of juvenile misbehavior that they would tolerate. That remains true today!!!
He’s getting trashed on his facebook page. good times

Totally, and it applies so many ways.
I'm thinking that, if Lowe's has a store in Torrance, they might want to consider shutting it down and relocating if this guy's threat of legislative action comes about.
If Lowe's slaps his constituents with job losses and sales tax losses, they might think twice about returning him to Sacramento.
Ding ding ding ding !!!
We have a winner !!
(and just look at all that free advertising Lowe’s is getting !)
I’ll bet you a beer Home Depot steps in with advertising in say, 48 hours or so.
He was not even born here. He was born in Taiwan. If he had any decency he would restrain himself. So he immigrates here to behave like this? This is typical of far too many immigrants
CALIFORNIASenator That is all you need to know
