Wiley Post was the pilot when Will rogers was killed in the plasne crash in NE OK
The airport at OKC is named after Wiley Post. The FAA has a huge facility there. Don’t remember where Wiley was from, but he was the first pilot to suffer from Time Zone Lag (now called Jet Lag) when he flew a Northern Route around the world.
Will Rogers was half Cherokee from Claremore in NE Oklahoma. Wiley Post and Will Rogers died in a low altitude single plane crash near Point Barrow, Alaska Territory.
I think they died in Burrows Alaska in 1935!
