I am 100% behind Newt...he took MORE heat, slams and attacks than anyone on that podium and stood strong. Others would have stuttered or became enraged. Newt held his ground on a biased forum by the moderators and numerous attacks by the candidates. WOOT WOOT NEWT

Agree Perry has the heart, but as Commander in Chief, he would have to be "on" under worse pressure than these televised debates.
Perry would have to show rather than explain or even apologize for missteps in speaking. Perry is still not quite there and that is what is apparent now.
The Donald saying that Perry is better than what is seen does nothing for Perry. Trump could have hired a public speaking coach for Perry and that would have gone a lot further than Trump making some explanation about Perry.
Right now, we can't afford to see if Perry will ever catch up and get more confidence.

Maybe this debate will get rid of Romney for us, ya think?

Intermediary assumes a situation can be resolved. The Pallestinieans will not even acknowledge Israel’s right to exist! How do you “negotiate” with that as a stipulation?
I remember Donna Brazile whispering on some TV show to fellow travelers, about 0bama. She specifically said, “But he’s African!” Only she faced the camera. She was whispering.

What’s wrong with Bachman’s make up tonight? She looked hot in the last debate.

Newt won. Ron got 2nd. Mitt got 3rd. The rest should concede defeat.
Perry did that answer very well, and closed it perfectly.
That’s probably the best assessment of Romney I’ve seen.
He parses everything. Sounds good but nothing there when you really listen.
