Not to seem conspiratorial, but I’ve noticed the same thing. I’ve been buying incandescents for the past year and stocking them. They seem to burn out WAY quicker than usual.

I’ve gone through 3 of them on the porch within the last month.

I've noticed that problem too. Some 60 watt bulbs are only lasting a month.

Heck, buy a 100w flood light and see how quick they burn out!
Less than 2 months on a multiple year bulb!

Well count me in as well. The last round of 100’s I bought did not last but a few weeks. Very unusual as they normally have last over a year in the same fixtures.

I think it is the result that they know their at the end of the line for the bulbs, so quality is no longer a high priority issue.
