Just read on the Blaze that John McCain will not endorse Newt, but will likely endorse Romney.

That's a plus for Newt in my book!

This one is long but it shows why Newt is indeed what this country needs at this time in its history — a true scholar and historian to remind us what it means to be Americans:

I don’t mean to sound negative but what I saw in this clip is the following:

1- Newt gets asked a question about the individual mandate.
2- Newt dodges the question about the mandate and blames the media for trying to get republicans to fight each other.
3- Newt then goes on a monologue about how obamacare was enacted but does not address the individual mandate question.

Okay Jim, I remember that earlier debate. Yes, Newt can talk the talk now and then, but then he comes up with his damn Nanny-State ideas such as using our tax dollars to pay kids to work after school.

Every adult has a soft spot for kids, but CHILDREN BELONG TO THEIR PARENTS AND NOT THE GOVERNMENT!

So tell His Loose-Cannonness to talk the talk ALL the time. Otherwise we will not be sure that he can walk the walk.

BTW, remind Newt that only small government ideas are going to be convincing to those of us that are TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY.

With SEIU, AFSCME, CPUSA, Nazi Party USA, Van Jones’ Anarchists, George Soros anti-American Organization’s, CAIR, NAACP, most Unions etc. all coming out for Obama....It’s a war folks and the MSM is pushing Mitt Romney knowing he can never beat Obama......John Huntsman is at 3%, who is paying for him to stay in the race and why...Santorum is at 1%, Cain is out and that is where Huntsman and Santorum should be, staying in the race assures Obama of a win. Newt Gingrich, now taking the Palin, Cain heat from the MSM and talking heads, has more “gravitas” than any of the other GOP hopefuls....stay focused, do not believe the MSM or O’Reilly, Charles Kruthammer, they are pushing too hard for Romney; another Obama? Yes, Gingrich is a Conservative Moderate...ain’t no Reagan Conservative out there.

That moment was the turning point for Newt’s campaign. He smacked down obama, obamacare and the media with that response.

I guess I'll be the first to be a buzz killer, don't let good words and fair speeches deceive you, this man is, IMHO the least conservative candidate in the race, he does a have a record and it is not pretty. Some will say he has changed, but I know one thing, this tiger has had his stripes a very long time, I am very skeptical he could change just when there happens to be a presidential race.

That said he does stand head and shoulders above the Zero, and if he is the last man standing against Zero, he surely has my vote and support.

Couldn’t help but notice Perry was the only one to applaud Newt. The rest were too fearful to agree with an opponent. Their smallness showed.

Here is a decent article on how Newt Gingrich’s position on an individual mandate has changed over the years.

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/gingrich-s-principled-conclusion-individual-mandate-has-changed-over-time

He did support a requirement for individals to purchase insurance when he was fighting HillaryCare. However, both he and The Heritage Foundation have opposed ObamaCare’s implementation of the individual mandate from its beginning and now firmly believe that such a mandate is unconstitutional and unworkable. IMHO, that is not a political flip-flop to gain votes but rather a conclusion reached after thoughtful analysis.

FWIW
