From the beginning of his campaign, Republican presidential front-runner Mitt Romney has put the bulk of his early primary state focus on New Hampshire. It borders Massachusetts, where Romney was governor, and he has a home on Lake Winnipesaukee.
New Hampshire was meant to be the firewall in case Romney fared poorly in the first primary/caucus state of Iowa Jan. 3, a week before the Granite States contest. Romney held huge leads in early polls. But now former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has pulled to within 10 percentage points in New Hampshire, recent polls and Gingrichs campaign director in the state, Andrew Hemingway, estimate, according to Politico.
Gingrich also has bagged an endorsement from the states influential conservative newspaper the Union Leader.
So Romney is feeling the heat.

I stopped reading there. It should say...DEMOCRAT front runner mittens....
You missed the good part “But now former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has pulled to within 10 percentage points in New Hampshire, recent polls and Gingrichs campaign director in the state, Andrew Hemingway, estimate, according to Politico.

So Romney is feeling the heat. “ and it is still early enough that Newt can pull his numbers UP. You would think NH would be a walk in the park for Mitt...but it’s not going to be a breeze. Stunning that Newt is as close as he is in Mitt’s backyard:)
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!! first time I have viewed that...thanks for the laugh
It kills me - LOL!
Newt getting within 10 in NH isn't bad. Romney will still win but a "win" in NH isn't what Newt needs. He's talked about Top 3 in IA, NH and then winning SC as his strategy.
Newt Ping!
NH getting close!!!!!
Thanks. I’ve noticed a concerted effort not to bump good Newt news to the top lately...{{{crickets}}}
Titan, just got back from NH for Newt. ping me if y’all want info ... ping me if ya want to go to IA or NH.
finally made some press. #11

AWESOME!!!!! GREAT LOOKING TEAM!!!!!!!! :-)
After about 15 minutes of tame policy talk, Romney took the first shot when asked if he thought Gingrich was in the best position to defeat President Barack Obama in 2012.
“Well, of course I don’t agree with that,” Romney said. “I think a lot of people don’t agree with that.” Romney went on to criticize Gingrich for spending most of his career in Washington, comparing it to his years in the private sector.
“Let’s be candid,” Gingrich replied. “The only reasons you didn’t become a career politician is because you lost to Ted Kennedy in 1994.”
“You’d have been a 17-year career politician by now if you’d won,” he said.
Great bitch-slap by Newt. Love it!!!
