Bachmann to Trump: You’re fired

CBN’s David Brody gets the scoop on Michele Bachmann’s response to the invitation to the Donald Trump forum on December 27th in Iowa. Apparently, she has something better to do one week before the caucuses than ring-kissing:
Michele Bachmanns campaign tells The Brody File that she will NOT attend the Newsmax debate moderated by Donald Trump on December 27th. Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Ron Paul and Jon Huntsman have also declined. That leaves Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum as the only ones who have said they will attend. A Lincoln/Douglas debate anyone?
In order to have a Lincoln/Douglas style debate, Trump would have to keep his mouth shut. Odds on that? You’re better off betting that Buddy Roemer wins Iowa in four weeks.
Brody thinks that Bachmann might be working on an upset:
The Brody File has said that Bachmanns organizational strength among pastors and homeschoolers gives her the real shot at doing very well in Iowa.
And let’s face it — if that’s the demographic she’s aiming to get into her corner, Bachmann won’t convince them by cavorting with Donald Trump, of all people. With Romney not terribly popular among social conservatives and Gingrich carrying a hefty amount of personal baggage in this area, Bachmann could well make some inroads in her native state by hewing to social-conservative positions and venues. Rick Perry has already reached the same conclusion, making overt arguments along faith-based themes in Iowa. Again, Trump isn’t exactly a model for that argument.
So the question now becomes this: will Gingrich and Santorum stick to their commitment to Trump, or will they suddenly find something else to do on the 27th? I’m betting that they find some way to distance themselves from this event, and that it gets quietly forgotten.

Michelle denies having made gaffes but having to speak, extemporaneously, for more than a few minutes is going to mess-up. I honestly believe that is why she’s a thanks but no thanks.

I don't know who Rachel is. But saying Newt-Trump love-in is negative. Why would that be? What's the problem - you prefer the media as moderators who protect their boy Mitt? This is the big boy debate w/a moderator who is heavily invested in America - unlike liberal talking heads.
It certainly shows Newt and Santorum do not feel threatened by anyone - that's leadership. Santorum may kick wuss Mitt to the bottom of the heap where he belongs and then the two front runners will be Newt and Santorum.

I think Bachmann is the best conservative in the bunch. That said I think this is another example of Bachmann pulling her punches against the Republican establishment.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't she seeking Trump's endorsement not too long ago? She doesn't like his debate, but wants his endorsement. Kinda weird.

Trump is a free-wheeler, and it scares the bejeebers out of those who aren't-- or who can't appreciate the quality. Trump is the Tom Bombadil of politics.

He “knows who he is endorsing” and it sure ain’t Santorum.
Newt was all over this thing from the beginning. Another blot on Newt.

"You might want to think about this hypothetical a bit more."
Ok. I have. Let me re-phrase it.
What happens if it turns out Trump keeps a very low profile and just asks some pertinent questions and gives each debater full time to go into details with their answers. In short those that watch it find nothing offensive.

I don't need information on any of the candidates or TRUMP in addition to what I already posses. I would not ordinarily vote for any of the candidates with a thumbs up given a totally different situation. I might stress once again as I have on numerous occasions via. normal post as well private mail with you, that I will vote for any of them to boot the communist out of the White House. I have no respect for any of them including Trump. I don't seem to recognize your problem with what I continue to communicate to you.

I understand your position and have no trouble with you having it.
In this particular case I was questioning the idea that Trump will have self control.

He's a slick businessman who made it big within his sphere of expertise. Perhaps you should have simply stated your case. I have no favorite. Each has their flaws. Each can fart out a few sentences on things of importance to this nation. I can say none of what any of them say taken within the total is not that far removed from what we would hope someone who took over from the commie clown, might be able, big if..... be able to change.
If Michelle gets to the top. I vote for her. If any of the others get to top they have my thumbs up as well.
I want the far left socialist/communist/Marxist....lets include his three main attributes, and his goons squads kick out of power.....never to be able to again ascend such political power.
