I love that we hear “out of context!” and then immediately hear “Newt still supports the mandate” right after.

LOL Classic.

This is in response to Perry’s new ad today, that’s all. Perry has decided to jump the shark, which is too bad because I genuinely liked him.

I was just pointing out that Perry would have had Hillarycare be the law of the land when Newt was fighting to kill it. If Perry had had his way, we’d all be government insurees for two decades and counting.

Can you cite a single example of Perry supporting Hillarycare? No, you can't. B/c it never happened.

However, as of May of this year, Gingrich stated, "I’ve said consistently we ought to have some requirement to either have health insurance or you post a bond or in some way you indicate you are going to be held accountable."

To follow up on the May 2011 quote, Gingrich was asked about this this week by Beck. Gingrich doubled down and said this was a variation of a federal mandate.

“I would like to request that the task force give particular consideration to the needs of the nation’s farmers... Rural populations have a high proportion of uninsured people, rising health care costs, and often experience lack of services.”

This is before the task force had even started. If you never heard before that it is beaucoup difficult for rural populations to access health care, you are blind, deaf, and dumb.
Calling attention to this problem is not something to be ashamed of or defensive of, and to make it seem so is disingenuous at best.

Have you ever driven across Texas? You can travel hundreds of miles without seeing a solitary thing except maybe a few cattle and a pole somewhere. You ain’t seen rural unless you’ve seen Texas...or maybe Alaska.
