Alright it's that time of year again. Here's a place for old grads of both schools and fans of the game to gather, talk about past games, and talk a little trash.
Side note: Over the past years these threads have gotten a little Navy heavy. Come on Army folks, I know there has to be some of you on FR.
So I've been underneath the Mighty Ike as well at to the top of its mast.

What I have read is that Navy has contracts with CBS for the Army-Navy Game through 2014, and contracts for specific bowl games (if eligible) through 2013 and contracts to play Notre Dame thru 2026 - some or all of these contracts may keep them from joining the Big East until after the 2013 season.
“The crowd was very respectful and kind at the 08 game to Bush.”
Yes, I was there.
The difference is that the crowed really liked and respected Bush.
Good article about the game:

The only reason our idiot-in-chief is attending is because (for some strange reason) the game will be played in DC, not Philadelphia and Moochella has other things to do. I really detest this man.

There is another reason: the military photo-ops. He is in full campaign mode, and needs to make it look like he cares about the military. He cares about the military only inasmuch as his own self-interest is moved forward.
Whether or not you approved of GW Bush, he had a deep respect and appreciation for the military, and they knew it.
“The rest are punks.”
The response coming from West Point or Annapolis to this unfortunate comment would probably be :
Question:
What do West Point Cadets, Annapolis Midshipmen, and Air Force Academy Cadets all have in common?
Answer:
They all got into the US Air Force Academy.
GO NAVY BEAT ARMY!
You are right on.
Alright in the hours before kickoff I’ll call for some predictions:
Mine is Army 24, Navy 21.
But if G-d loves the Infantry, why does He make it rain every time I have to sleep in the field?
I just keep telling myself “Army in a close one. It’s gotta happen sometime.”
Because he really loves Army Aviators.
Looks like there’s a Game Day thread.

It's hard to compete in any conference when your recruits are required to sign an employment contract for post graduation.
The athletes for the academies are career oriented, not football first.
Glad that President Obama got to sit the last part of the game with the losing side...harbinger of next November, I hope!
