Newt Gingrich told those gathered at a meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition in Washington on Wednesday that if elected president next year, he will tap former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton to be his secretary of state.
"If you will accept it, I will ask John Bolton to be secretary of state," he said to cheers during his remarks in the Ronald Reagan Building............

This is the one thing that slightly melted the icy dislike I have of Newt. Bolton would really get the US respected in the world again. No small feat after Hitlery spent the last couple years making us look like weak buffoons.
Voting for Newt just got a little less painful for me.
Of course, by tomorrow morning, he'll make a grand bi-partisan gesture and offer Barney Frank for Secretary of the Treasury.
I guess my dream of a neocon-free administration is a utopian ideal that can never occur in real life.
Watch Gingrich’s speech that I linked.
You might even stand and cheer after you hear what he says after he talks about appointing John Bolton.
Even Frank would be an improvement at Treasury. Just get dumbo and his stooges gone. All I need is for Newt to win, and I’ll swallow my bad memories of him and cheer.
I can’t help but wonder- why are you people here, on this thread? Who are you supporting, Obama? Romeny? Paul? Palin? Anybody? Why aren’t you on THEIR threads? I don’t give a damn about going on their threads and smearing them. Get over it, get a life, Newt is the next President.
Great.
Lets start some more foreign wars to squander trillions of dollars, hock ourselves even further into debt, and alienate millions of independent voters and push them back toward voting for the Democrats like in 2008.
Newt 2012
That’s some video!! Can’t say I enjoyed it - I’d like Trump to see it.
Did you see the video in Post 2? With your link I get - The requested document does not exist on this server.
I’ve seen part of the mish-mash from the Bircher guy. Not interested.
He will say anything to get elected.
Nomination locked up? Pivot Hard Center for the General.
Govern from the Center/Left (reach across the aisle constantly for the big bipartisan "reach around"). Conservatives/Tea Partiers will be called "cretins". Maybe slow down some stuff here and there and throw more red meat on occasion but essentially reverse little to nothing on the Big Conveyor Belt to Government Largesse and Socialism.
Four to eight years of "compassionate conservatism."
You'd think we'd catch on to the game by now.
I guess we should have paleocons who will surrender at the drop of a French hat.
Here, let me help you fashion your response:
“Ron Paul....mind our own business....War on Terror is unconstitutional....Why shouldn’t Iran have nuclear weapons, Israel has 300.... 9/11 is America’s fault, troops in 130 different countries....Imperialism...Only Ron Paul understands the Constitution....Only Ron Paul....”
Blah, blah, blah. I’ve heard it all before. I’m tired of hearing it. It all sounds the same.
I agree.
If Bolton hooks on with Gingrich, it might be the deciding factor for me.
Gingrich is head and shoulders above everyone else. This country needs a leader badly and he’s the right guy for doing just that. That was an outstanding speech.
What? He isn’t going to appoint a woman to this position? I’m shocked! ;-)
