And how does that relate to what it would be without the 90’s cuts? At best, you’ve given a partial score. Welfare may be as big as ever but could easily be twice again as big without the cutbacks. Or had we not taken Congress away from the Dems for the time we did in the 90’s. And I don’t mean the binge spending of the GOP as personified by Boehner (leader of the coup against Gingrich) under the compassionate conservatives.
Yeah right. Welfare certainly solved a lot didn’t it? It opened the door to illegal immigrants to receive lots.
They need to get rid of programs completely; not massage them.
