6:05 p.m. EST, December 7, 2011 Newt Gingrich’s campaign for the Republican presidential nomination, which has struggled financially for most of the year, says the former House speaker raised $4 million in the first half of the fourth quarter, when he began climbing in the polls.
That’s about $1 million more than Gingrich raised in the first five months of the campaign, when he fell nearly $1.2 million in debt, including $450,000 owed to a private jet company.
The third quarter was by far Gingrich’s worst: He raised just $800,000 and lost more than a dozen staffers who quit en masse in June.

By the time a good choice rises, there will be no cash left. Surveying the remaining field I have to wonder who rises when the implications of sponsoring over 400 bills with Pelosi sink in with the voters.
Kinda like McCain in 2008, whos campaign was on life support early on.

I agree. Huntsman is a rino; Bachmann is a shrill, Santorum couldnt even win his own state of PA, Paul is wacky, Perry is well Perry...that leaves Newt or Mitt. I am with Newt.
You forgot the other two arms in the bullpen. One of them still could have loyalties to the opposing team. The other generally throws okay, but for some weird reason, very often will just throw live balls way out to left field.
And you’ve determined this without a single solitary primary vote being cast? Well shoot, we can just do away with voting, let’s all take a poll and decide who will be our nominee based on that.
But.. but... what about Gary Johnson, Buddy Roemer and Fred Karger? Stellar candidates all! ;-)

I know we need to find and candidate and unite ASAP. A nasty primary battle anywhere near as long as Hillary vs Zero would be exploited by the media.

I am so surprised by this post. I thought for sure you would be for Bachmann or Santorum. I never heard you say that one way or the other, but your conservative credentials are sound as far as I am concerned so I am a bit surprised you would settle for Newt.
