My Blood Dad is dying in great pain.
He has broken his hip the 3rd time. His vitals are too poor to operate.
They don't even know if they can move him at all due to the great pain.
He has reportedly made his peace with God and forgiven everyone.
Please pray that he graduates from this life as painlessly and quickly as The Lord would wish for him.
Sigh. BIG SIGH.
This is mother's birthday and the day her father died.
Sigh.
I know some prayer threads are in this forum. If this is not fitting, please move it where it is.
I'm more than a little discomboobalated.
Thanks in advance for all the prayers and caring so typical of all of you.

May God embrace your father in His loving arms and ease him painlessly into his eternal reward. May He comfort and protect you, His warrior for truth. God bless and keep you and your family.

Oldsters and broken hips— You are very perceptive and correct on that! 5,000 units D per day will suffice. Cod liver oil just gives it extra ooomf. Order from Swanson’s in ND. Best people up there. Best prices too

Awe Quix, I am so very sorry. I pray he has a peaceful transition and the family can gently go through the difficult process of saying goodbye and remember the good and find the “rough edges” disappear with the moring mist.
Much love to you & yours across the miles!

Prayers up, of course. Heavenly Father, ease your child’s journey into thy arms. Amen.

Please remember to take care of yourself. Many times people get caught up in caretaking and forget to care for the caretaker (himself).
Take some walks, eat as well as you can (I know when I am stressed my appetite dissapears), try to find what humor and distractions you can, lots of fluids, etc.
Know you have many, many friends here who are praying for you and thinking about you and yours. Reach out to us, even to just vent, cry, laugh or whatever you think you need for comfort and strength.
IOW: hang in there! We are all hoping for the best!

Cod liver oil just gives it extra ooomf My siblings and I were given cod liver oil as kids - we all raced to spit it out.
My 70 year old cousin had a hip replacement and was checked out every which way - the operation was a success, he did his therapy and was happy he was out of pain. All was good and fifteen months later his wife found him on the bedroom floor in the morning. He got up during the night and had a fatal heart attack. I never associated with his hip replacement but who knows.

Praying for your Dad, that God comforts him and gives him grace to walk through this valley and accept his perfect will. I'm praying that his pain is eased and that he can rest peacefully until it is "time". We never really know how long we have nor how we will step over to eternity, but I pray that for him it will be a comfortable and peaceful surrender and that all those around him will sense God's presence and his holy angels escorting your Dad to his eternal home.
I'm also praying for you, dear Quix, that you totally place this in our merciful Father's hands. That you release your Dad to the Lord, physically and emotionally. You cannot do anymore than you have already done but rest in knowing that your Dad knows you love him, forgive him and joyously look forward to perfect peace in Heaven when you meet again. May the God of all comfort help you through this time and may your sadness be turned to joy - that you sorrow not as others who have no hope. We have the hope of glory.
