He also said that he considers ALL (including W. Bank) Israeli “settlements” to be LEGAL!

I think he’s coping what Newt has already said.

Go Newt Go......

Perry did great! How much time does a president have to spend debating? How much time does he have to spend on leading? Gov. Perry’s not a debater-savant - but he does have a long record of actual governance that we can see.

GO PERRY!

I didn't know that Jim. I appreciate this link. Of course I am still a Newt fan, all the way. It's just that I never saw Perry's spine before... he surprised me.

A me too moment?

Newt Gingrich: I Will Move U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem

Perry hasn't "seized" Newt's idea, Wolf Blitzer specifically asked him the question about it. Perry responded - I don't get how that is a "me too" moment.

Lots of me-toos.
Voicing support for moving the embassy to Jerusalem has become a tradition for presidential hopefuls. Republicans Bush and John McCain and Democrats Al Gore, Hillary Clinton and John Kerry all spoke during their presidential campaigns in favor of relocating the embassy to Jerusalem in line with the 1995 law.

This year is no different. Republican candidates Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich have all pledged to move the embassy to Jerusalem – in the case of Bachman and Gingrich, on their first day in office.

Me too. I think what happened was a lot of people had high hopes during the period of speculation about whether he would get into the race, followed by disappointment at his lackluster debate performance. Then the momentum was taken over first by Cain and then by Newt.

But the guy is solid. Immigration is a sticking point, but the issue is complex, and Perry's position isn't a deal breaker, at least for me.

Newt is riding high, and I'd certainly vote for him, but he has very significant baggage, personally and with some of the positions he has taken.

I like that Perry is forthrightly speaking out on the religious/social issues which, contrary to the "economic conservatives," is at the heart of our movement. Perry's predecessor as Texas governor once said: "America is great as long as it is good: if we cease to be good, we shall cease to be great."

We must not forget that one particular Reich Chancellor in the 1930's created an "economic miracle" in Germany. The economic strength of America was created upon a firm foundation of moral values, the rule of law, and respect for individual rights and freedoms. We cease to continue making these values our priority at our peril.

Move the embassy? Yeah. Right. Like Dubya promised. - rolls eyes - This is nothing more than a bloody shirt that’s trotted out at election time and then conveniently forgotten.

I was a HUGE Perry basher a few months back. That was before getting to know him and some of his biggest supporters. The people around him...

In just about any setting but a debate he really is awesome. He is absolutely a conservative. He is smart, funny and he is not a Washington insider.

I believe he will be the last candidate standing.

I hope he is our candidate. He has a long history of being a friend to Jews and Israel. G-d will bless America when our leaders bless Israel.

The media is the one who declared Perry dead. Whatever the media believes, I will do the opposite. Don’t write him off yet.

Perry has long been a friend of Isreal, in 2009 he was given the Defender of Jerusalem award Perry in Isreal to Receive Defender of Jerusalem Award

He has been working with them for years.
