That is a really frightening possibility that is not the ravings of a conspiracy-prone mind, given that they have used the Fed to manipulate gun laws. Why should we think "manipulating gun laws" is the real purpose instead of something far more sinister?
I thought at the time that it was a rather poor explanation, that this was all done as a public relations stunt to gain support to make new gun laws. We’re talking about thousands of guns here.
There is historical precedent in pre-WW II Germany, disarm the people, then seize power when no one is capable of effectively resisting. In Germany the Jews were demonized, today it is the Christians here, but most of us aren’t placid merchants just trying to go along to get along! We smell a bunch of leftist RATS!
