Cool! I live in an airpark community and got my instrument rating this summer.
Congratulations. Regrettably, I never went for my instrument rating. Soloed when 17, Private at 18. The ILS comes from childhood days living near the outer marker for 21R at DTW. And watching an listening to Airliners (many now long gone) cleared for the ILS 21R.
