Truth behind UC Davis pepper spray of Occupy protestors

Most of you have heard of the controversy surrounding the UC Davis Police who pepper sprayed Occupy protestors. Unfortunately, the story has not been presented in its proper context and, as a result, has subverted the truth and misdirected the public’s opinion. We need your help in making known the other side of what transpired on Friday, November 18, 2011. The links to our YouTube videos (above and HERE) offer detailed footage of the events as they occurred, as well as an article in Accuracy in Media, one of the few outlets to carry our side of the story. So please, take a look and then share with your family, friends, and fellow Republicans.

WHAT YOU ARE UP AGAINST

As the events have unfolded in the aftermath of the immediate controversy, the Davis College Republicans have worked tirelessly to get our perspective know. We have faced an uphill battle, finding little sympathy in our student body which now wants to be a part of this media sensation.

To give you an idea of the movement we are up against, this is a group of students who hypocritically break the law in the name of justice, who resist the police in the name of civility, and who lie to advance their own selfish agenda. We are rebelling against they who take over administration buildings and disrupt classes in the name of education, who are attempting to invalidate our police force, here to protect us, in the name of safety, and lastly are creating general mayhem across our campus claiming to be our voice, to be our representative.

They do not realize, or maybe they do, that they are fundamentally disrupting students’ lives here at UC Davis. These are not protesters; they are architects, architects of that which they protest. They have defied police, ignored the law, and have been the beneficiaries of their misdeeds at the expense of the truth.

“fundamentally disrupting” is their method of operation. At some point there will be a response in the form of direct action.

So when are the Police UNIONS going to stand up for them?

Rubber bullets. Truncheons. High-pressure water cannons.

Let’s see how brave these Leftists really are.

I remember when I was in the Ph.D. program in anthropology in Illinois. A professor of cultural anthropology said, "I hope you consider anthropology a science. Raise your hand if you think this is a science. All the students raised their hands but me.

I said, "Science is a study of observable facts. You mix two chemicals and they go BOOM. That's science. This is philosophy." Silence fell. No one argued with me. The prof just kind of made a polite murmur and dropped the subject.

Here’s another version of the video on YouTube that shows what led up to the incident...
