ormer Rep. Joe Scarborough (R-Fla.) offered a stunningly candid rebuke to Newt Gingrich on Tuesday, calling him a "bad person" and accusing him of demonizing his political opponents.
"When he puts on his political helmet, he is a terrible person," Scarborough said on his "Morning Joe" show on MSNBC. "He may be a nice person at home, [but] people that don't know Newt at home need to know this."
Scarborough ticked off a list of comments Gingrich has made about his opponents before singling out Gingrich's comparison of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius (D) to Joseph Stalin.
"I may disagree with her personally, but she's given her life to political service," he said. "He compares her to Joseph Stalin, who killed 30 million people?"
He also blasted Gingrich for calling Democrats a bigger threat to the United States than Nazis, the Congressional Budget Office a socialist institution and for insulting conservative commentator Glenn Beck.
"He dehumanizes people," Scarborough said.

There are certainly issues to “worry” about with each of our candidates.
What a person needs to ask themselves is if they ‘really prefer Obama over Newt’, because when the dust settles, that is what it all comes down to.
Our country survives or it goes for another 4 years of Obama and completely crumbles.
Allowing Romney to become the nominee equates to an Obama win and the loss of our country.
Above all else, it is imperative that Obama’s War on America be stopped, period.
Go Newt Go.........
Did she actually say this? If so, I agree with Newt, here!
It takes one to know one. Yes, Gingrich is probably a, “bad person,” but so is Scarborough. At least Gingrich probably hasn’t killed anybody...
Should their be 2 left-leaning parties, a no one to even partially represent the other side?
