ormer Rep. Joe Scarborough (R-Fla.) offered a stunningly candid rebuke to Newt Gingrich on Tuesday, calling him a "bad person" and accusing him of demonizing his political opponents.
"When he puts on his political helmet, he is a terrible person," Scarborough said on his "Morning Joe" show on MSNBC. "He may be a nice person at home, [but] people that don't know Newt at home need to know this."
Scarborough ticked off a list of comments Gingrich has made about his opponents before singling out Gingrich's comparison of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius (D) to Joseph Stalin.
"I may disagree with her personally, but she's given her life to political service," he said. "He compares her to Joseph Stalin, who killed 30 million people?"
He also blasted Gingrich for calling Democrats a bigger threat to the United States than Nazis, the Congressional Budget Office a socialist institution and for insulting conservative commentator Glenn Beck.
"He dehumanizes people," Scarborough said.

anyone know how Newt insulted Glenn Beck? ..... crazy Glenn sure has had his panties in wad about Newt the last few days ...
My predictive abilities are limited, but I am confident that late January to early February will see a reversal on the unemployment front. The Christmas season will be over, and the retailers and UPS will have let their seasonal workers go.
There are too many regulatory crosscurrents for private employers to aggressively hire new workers.
IMHO, the 800 lb gorilla in our economy is the housing market. Until it regains a semblance of its vibrancy, our economy will remain stuck in the mud. And unlike the smart feller in the Viagra commercial that "knows how to get things done", the current administration is bereft of folks that know how to get things done without the benefit of crony capitalism.
Scarborough (D, RomneyBOT): "We dehumanize people"
I don’t know and no one knows if Newt will make a good President. I think he might. This does bring me to a question; did Newt go to Washington to make friends or to pass legislation that helps the American public and follows the Constitution. I always say about my job I didn’t come to this company to make friends I came here to make a paycheck if I make friends great if not that’s fine too. I have plenty of friends already.
These kinds of attacks from the RINO establishment are causing my support for Newt to grow every single day.
George Will ripped him, calling him a “Marxist.” Tom Coburn tore him apart. And now Scarborough calling him a “bad person.”
Something is fishy here. The liberal media and Republican establishment types are showing us who they’re afraid of.
No. His spinning on why he supports ethanol subsidies, individual mandates for health insurance and individual retirement savings were sickening. The gubmint will GIVE you a choice on how you want to do it but it’s still the gubmint telling you that you have to do something. Whatever happened to leaving people alone?
I will do the “hold the nose” vote.
um... Glen Beck is a mormon like Romney.
Beck is starting to panic now that his fellow mormon may lose.
Dont miss Rush today............Ditto
I’m not a fan of Beck, to doomy, gloomy and by the way, buy my book, for me but did you hear the Newt interview? I think Newt has no problem with big gubmint as long as he or his buds are running it.
Another thing, is it me, our does Bill O’Reilly seem to be rooting for Newt? Whenever I hear his Talking Points commentary it always sounds like GO NEWT GO! If he’s in the tank for him I wish he would come right out and say it.
Here’s more ...
We had to push Newt because he wanted to cave in, Scarborough said. Those of us who told Newt, If you dont fight for a balanced budget and dont fight for these tax cuts and dont fight for the cuts in committee chairmanships, etc., etc., that we promised we were going to do, we are going to kick you out those 10 or 15 or so, every one of them Tom Coburn, Matt Salmon running again in Arizona, all of them. They may not be saying it publicly, but privately theyre sending me e-mails every day going, How many times does Newt have to teach these people hes bad for the conservative movement? So theres Ive got to say I dont believe, Mika there was something in Politico that said people were holding the fire against Newt because they were they were thinking they might have to make peace with him if he won the nomination. Let me tell you something: The Republican establishment will never make peace with Newt Gingrich. They just wont.
We have our White House talking points: Newt is nasty and mean spirited. Like “Bush’s fault”, the “mean republican” theme never wears out. What passes for journalists today will ignore the fact that Obama is a vicious, petty, drug-addled socialist, and will focus on the fact that the far left doesn’t like Newt. Of course Newt demonizes his opponents - those on the far left are genuinely evil. Socialism is pure evil, and the Obama Regime is forcing us toward socialism as rapidly as they can. The left deserves to be demonized because they do the work of Satan.
Newt may have “had” female staffers in his congressional office, but none of them ended up DEAD!
FYI
Post #32.
Joe...you are a bad REPUBLICAN, Show host and WERE a BAD CONGRESSMAN!!
Joe, since you are on MSPMS...why not change your party from RINO to D.
Newt is the guy our country needs, NOW.
This doesn’t worry you?

Bill Clinton Praises Old Foe Newt Gingrich
You have shown neither fairness nor class.
It has me wondering, maggief!
