BREAKING: Sources tell FOX 5 News that Herman Cain will endorse Newt Gingrich Monday for the GOP Presidential Nominee
Pay little attention to the Kamikaze Conservatives on this forum. They would rather be 'right' than win elections of consequence. Their litmus test requires inhuman purity. Anyone who would qualify couldn't possibly get elected to anything.
Newt is a 95% pure conservative that can and will get elected to President - unless the kooks mount a third party effort and hand the election to Obama as a statement of their inflexible purity and principles.
George Wallace gave the country Nixon, Ross Perot gave us Clinton and Ralph Nader phoned over 90,000 votes from the Democrats in Florida providing the win for George W. Bush.
You say “...and all the Ivy leaguers who got us into this mess.”
This is another BIG point in Newt’s favor, and ours - he’s NOT from Harvard, Yale etc. He didn’t take “One World Gov’t: 101”
He doesn’t belong to ‘the Club” of Ivy League lawyer Washington elitists that have been running our country directly or in the shadows for decades. (Who was the last president we had that also did NOT belong to that group? Yep. Ronald Reagan. That didn’t turn out too bad.)
And Newt is NOT for turning our country over to the UN/One World Gov’t.

Could be the meeting is to discuss with the Donald particulars for IIRC Donald is moderating the next debate.
Wikipedia says he currently lives in McLean VA. Yes born in PA
Wiki on Newt:
>>Born and raised near Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Gingrich attended Emory University and received his Ph.D. from Tulane University. In the 1970s he taught history and geography at West Georgia College. During this period he mounted several races for the United States House of Representatives, before winning the election of November 1978. He served as the House Minority Whip from 1989 to 1995.
Newt’s been living in Virginia for years - not that it matters.
Cain won’t be the VP pick - no reason he should be
I have said for months...there WILL be a minority OR a woman on the ticket.
Not was my first thought too.
The media is going to have a blast with this!
He made a point of a small town Georgia graduate frightening a Harvard Grad into forced debates. We need that confidence.
If Cain can get all of his lady friends to vote for Newt, this could be huge.
Hi kate....you are right to wonder if this hurts or helps...I can see the press saying “birds of a feather flock together” in relationship to their wanderings from the nest. However Newt and Cain already made it clear they were “buddies” for years so with their chit chat debate before, so this really isn’t going to surprise the Cainites...remember they were liking the idea of a Cain/Newt ticket...Many even said they’d settle for a Newt/Cain ticket as well.
I think Newt has plans for Cain and they need to just get over their lose as soon as possible so they can get on board with Cain, who said he’s not going to be silenced, and Newt who is certainly going to have a place for Cain....good things a com’in down the pike!
Bucky can’t answer. He done went and bit the begonia. Too many insults.
You join in 2010 and call me a democrat? No, I am not a democrat and I like Newt. My first choice is Perry then Newt. Just because I don’t like your candidate first doesn’t make me a democrat.

At risk of setting off another series of mixed messages from these people, Cain’s camp tells me there’s nothing to report he’ll endorse tmrw

Lindsey was the reporter that closet lined by one of Cain’s linebacker bodyguards. She almost got hit by the bus too.
That twit can be read either way...
One thing you can’t mount an excuse for. Newt is Newt. Newt always turns out to be 100% pure Newt. I trust Newt to be Newt so much that it wouldn’t surprise me if he asked Hillary to be his Veep. Let’s see what Guy Molinari has to say. Molinari may work for Romney but the history is breathtaking....long before working for Romney. Mr Cain endorsing Mr Newt. LOL.
I think it’s going to come down to two things, campaign cash and the ground game. Whoever leads in those two categories will do fine. Those who don’t will fall away.
The polls right now mean next to nothing. The only thing that they’ve shown to be consistent is the 70-80% of voters that havn’t made up their minds yet. And that’s where the campaign cash and the ground game will make the difference.
In terms of electablility, Romney and Paul poll closer to Obama than Gingrich does.
Romney and Paul are more electable.
Romney is more electable in New Hampshire, and Paul is more electable in Iowa, according to the latest polls.
Clue for ya, you cannot frighten Lucifer..
No to Newt, because he has baggage. No to Romney, because he is a liar. Not sue what else I can add. Because I don’t support Newt Or Romney. So what can I do about it. Nothing but vote third party if I don’t like the winner of the GOP primary on election day 2012.
You made your point...you won’t be voting for him and I get that. Guess we then have nothing more to say for if you can’t see the whole picture yet...you will in time. Later then....
