What does this have to do with the future of this country? Nothing. This is litle more than a desperate candidate pandering.

“What does this have to do with the future of this country?”

Well, the contrast between Newt and Bachmann couldn’t be more clear.

Just remember that Newt was one of the main advocates for Harriet Miers and what this could mean for future supreme court nominations.

Good grief.

Gingrich is not running for GOP gynecologist.

We had this discussion previously. The journey of the fertilized egg - zygote down the fallopian tube and subsequent implantation in the uterus. Unless it is IVF.

Newt is anti-abortion - period.

That’s a stretch. I have no doubt that Newt will appoint constitutionalist judges to the court. Btw, we have had 20 of the last 30 years of prolife presidents and still have Roe V Wade. Even if Roe V Wade were to be overturned, we would stll have abortion in this country.

I actually do not remember Newt being a key player on the Bush Administration so your “main advocate” for Harriet Miers thing does not fly.

I agree with MB on more issues than I agree with Newt on, but the contrast between Newt and MB is greatest on one issue: brains. MB’s continued sniping at the other GOP candidates tells me she is not smart enough to realize that this is exactly what sunk her campaign to begin with.

She does not know the law of holes obviously.

So what Bachmann is saying is that if a woman takes birth control pills, she is perhaps aborting as baby once a month...

Doesn’t sound like a good strategy to get votes.

I find Bachmann’s campaign “highly troubling”.

OK, I don't agree with Newt's theology on this.

OTHO, if he is going to pick judges and endorse amendments to overturn Roe & if he is going to end tax support for abortionists, I will vote for him faster than an unborn baby's heartbeat over 0.

Palin hung it up; get over it. Your post says more about Bachmann making a silly name for herself that will soon require massive amounts of peroxide in her hair rinse, than it says something bad about Newt. Newt is Pro-LIfe. A rational person would understand that if the fertilized egg doesn't attach to the uterus wall, it cannot develop. Believing that this constitutes a baby human does not equate to being pro-abortion.

Instead of threatening to take your ball and go home, just take it and go.

Bachmann can kiss my left ovary. I’m done with her after all of her antics over the last few months.

She is the worst when it comes to attacking her fellow republicans.

She’s right. Gingrich stinks on the defense of the unalienable right to life.

Sadly, in her actions, so does she.

Oh good grief. Bachmann is the one woman circular firing squad. I keep hoping she will take the high road and want to like her but stuff like this makes me bang my head in frustration.

I agree. She first appeared to perhaps be a semi-Sarah - but she has none of Sarah’s assets. Not strong - just spiteful.

As a VP she might have captured some of the PUMAS who still hate Obama - but she is more shrill than Hill.

NO, it doesn’t fly because Newt Gingrich was NOT an inside consultant or advisor to George W. Bush therefore he was not one of the main promoters of Miers because he was simply not in a position to do so. The burden of proof is on you on this one.

Now, if Newt said something good about Miers publicly, that is just Newt doing what we all know Newt does - which is to chime in on everything because Newt thinks we all need his opinion on everything.

But to indicate that Newt would pick bad justices and to indicate he was one of the masterminds behind Miers is simply BS and to assert such requires YOU, not me, to meet the burden of proof.

“That I don’t remember” was a polite way of saying Bullsh-t.

Good analysis. Maybe not a “loose cannon”, but the lady is a bit of a wild shooter.

A pebble in my shoe with Bachmann is her earlier willingness to sell her soul by working as as tax attorney with the IRS.

MB is not going to get close to the nomination.
