Here are some links to some old sad songs you might want to listen to if you are sad today, whether you were a Cain supporter or not. These are just sad songs -- no hidden sexual messages or innuendo intended, or any kind of support meant for any of the performers in these music clips or for whatever their own political views might be or might have been. And this is not meant to trivialize in any way what happened here in America in recent weeks and culminated on Saturday for Cain. Just some sad old songs to accompany a very sad day in America. (Can you add any links for other sad songs to match the sad mood here today?)

Whether we supported Cain or not, we should all be at least a little sad when some scurrilous, unproven acccusations by some shady people with very questionable motives can knock a good American out of the race before even one single American gets a chance to cast a real vote for him or against him.

It's kind of like jabbing a fighter with an incapacitating needle in his corner of the ring before a fight, so that you don't have to get into the ring and actually duke it out with him to determine the real winner. Someone was really too frightened to face him in a real way, like a real American, so they performed political terrorism on him.

Without a doubt, somebody in the USA did that very kind of thing to Cain, and I don't think those people will ever be able to stand tall and proud for doing that again for the rest of their lives. That may be a way to win a political fight, but it does not sound like an American way.

The "Occupy this and that" crowds are not the only sick things in our great country today...

Herman Cain was brought down by the sins of hubris, lust and hypocrisy.

God sent you an example, two examples and still do you not see.

Cain was brought down by the evil deceit of the main stream media and the democrat attack dogs.

I wanted to like Cain as presidential timber, but just couldn't. First because of the lack of any elected office in his resume, and second because of the impression that he wasn't up to speed at all on foreign policy (I'm not either, but I'm not running for POTUS).
But the sex stuff I considered, and absent conclusive evidence of worse than has even been alleged still consider, to be noise. A red herring. I don't like the fact that this "news," if that is the proper word for it, affected the political campaign.
And we wonder why we have such a thin field running for the nomination?

Good morning. Thanks for the welcome. (I’ve got to leave this keyboard for a while now, but I meant this to be a serious post. If a person doesn’t like sad old country songs, they won’t like these links, but it really isn’t the fair way to fight a race, the way they got Cain, and there is a sadness about it. I was hoping Cain was going to stay in it, and felt pretty disappointed when he made the announcement on Saturday.)

Two of the three articles the Troll posted were list of songs. Here are some of the Troll’s post history (Read the titles of the songs carefully):

More Cain Campaign Songs, As Selected By Mean-Scum-Media, Demon-Crap-Party, and

Rino-Whinos
The Wanderer - Dion
Wanted Man - Johnny Cash with Bob Dylan
Love Man - Otis Redding
Addicted To Love - ???
Devil With The Blue Dress - Mitch Ryder and Detroit Wheels
These Arms Of Mine - Otis Redding
Satisfaction - The Rolling Stones
House of the Rising Sun - The Animals
Smokestack Lightning - Howlin’ Wolf - (Viagra Commercial Song)
Wild Thing - The Troggs

PA Engineer, in this last post the troll states that he doesn’t wish to trivialize what’s happened to Herman Cain, then goes on to post these songs. Again, read the titles carefully:

Blue Side Of Lonesome
A Little Bitty Tear
Crying Time
I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry
Red River Valley
Goodbye Jimmy, Goodbye
Detroit City
Blues Stay Away From Me
Today I Started Loving You Again
When I Call Your Name
Just When I Needed You Most
Drifting Blues
So Long It’s Been Good To Know You
He Stopped Loving Her Today

Our family loves country music. We know the songs listed and the lyrics. Despite the trolls mixed messages, the intent is crystal clear. I don’t trust it for a second.

If he was truly sorry for Mr. Cain he wouldn’t be posting songs about sex, seduction, loneliness and the blues, among other themes.

I think you’re right and I’ll bet it thinks it’s being very clever in it’s back-handed skewering of Mr. Cain.

What do you mean? None of the charges were really proved. The Media and the plaid pants wing of the GOP never liked Cain and I believe they had a part in starting the ball rolling.
I dont morn for Cain. I morn for a country.
