Former U.S. Sen. Bob Smith endorses Newt Gingrich
The Union Leader ^ | 12/03/2011 | Garry Rayno

CONCORD — Former New Hampshire U.S. Sen. Bob Smith is endorsing Newt Gingrich for President.

Smith said in his endorsement, “It is not enough to simply defeat President Obama. We must replace him with an inspirational, experienced, conservative leader, with the guts to challenge and change the establishment. Newt Gingrich is that leader.”

The former senator said 2012 is a critical election that will either usher in an American revival or turn the country into a bankrupt, third world power.

He said conservatives need to do more than simply win the election; they need to make sweeping changes in Washington and the country.

Wow. Bob Smith. What party is comb over with these days? I understand that he has been living in FL since '02 and not in NH. Not a NH endorsement really.

Who cares about Bob Smith? I trust the voters of NH will ignore the asses. As George Will has written going from Romney to Gingrich is going from “bad to worse.”

Newt will definitely shake things up. He is the only candidate to outline what steps he would take on day 1 in office to reverse the damage done by the Kenyan.

I see more and more seeking to be added to your ping list. That is a good thing, and they come so eagerly these days.

Newt’s first move will be to fire the 39 czars appointed by Obama. They will be gone before O is on the plane back to Chicago.

And he said he would have some things done before Zero landed in Chicago, that very night, the UNDOING will start, and America will begin the healing process.

Not to wish my life away, but I CAN'T WAIT.

What the hell are you babbling about?

Gingrich will wipe the floor with the commies, always has, they fear and detest him to to a level not seen since Joe McCarthy himself.

Ain't no starker contrast between Republican conservatism and Democratic Marixsm than an Obama Gingrich contest.

The nation will have a clear choice.

Sen. Bob Smith was the first to be brave enough to bring the drawings of partial birth abortion to the floor of the Senate for all to see.

Until that moment, few understood that the baby was being murdered while just his head remained inside his mother’s body.

Things are getting desperate with Cain just about to quit. Newt is very very dicey, a loose cannon. But he does have colossal nerve. Maybe he’s the only one who can be more shameless than Obama and not care. Which could be a good thing or a bad thing. If you’re talking about playing poker against Obama, maybe it’s a good thing.

Bob Smith and Newt - peas in a pod - Newt is a serial philanderer and Smith is a serial party switcher. Smith was a Republican then an Independent then a Republican again. Not a ringing endorsement by any stretch.
