Lets focus on his (dismissed) ethics charges instead. God forbid we should kick the hell out of the Dems.
Then maybe you shouldn't be bringing it up, I certainly didn't. Instead lets focus on his role in bringing the department of education into being.

You mean Ribicoff and Carter’s Department? When he was a freshman? Desperate much? The congress voted nearly 50-50 on it and it was at the time (40 years ago) it was not what it is today. It was a small bureau that was to keep statistics.
He aggressively campaigned to pare down the Department back to its appropriate role and return power to the states. By 96-97 the Newt Congress was trying to strip 4 billion...a lot of money then...
